Yeah, if it has a current best other than N/A you are stuck waiting since there is no save game editors for PS5. However, if you have current record set to N/A, then make sure you save a restore point and restore anytime it registers a current best without giving you it

For xenobiology you can just follow expedition routes and look for exotic planets like hexagonal. Or sharded. Only 1 animal on a planet you're good to go.

the glyphs are an address.
you enter them like a phone number at a portal and it takes you to the planet.
there is a portal at the 3rd meeting point.
to be able to use the glyphs at the portal you need to complete the digging 2.4k u3 milestone

if you scanned that one first, you get the quest done, but if you scanned another creature that has a pH level above 2.5. after that scanning something below it doesnt update it, only if its more. so you get softlocked. And can only report it to HG ... I mean within 2 months they should be able tp patch it

my strategy was to farm gravitino balls (since you need just very very basic materials to make it and it only needs 2 hours to grow) in the freighter at the very beginning of the run, and then do other stuff and then when i come back theyre done

They're the ones that are called stuff like Cabled/Finned/Bubbling/Metallic - the ones you find glitches on. You just need to scan animals on these planets, not get the glitches.

True, I'm end game on my main save and know what you mean. Quite enjoyed being reminded of early game mechanics in this expedition where you have to be careful where you walk/fly, you can't one shot anything and you don't have the gathered resources that hundreds of hours of game play giving you the feeling of having infinite stuff to call upon. Might have a go at a Permadeath save, try and get to the core 🙂

@signal bluff the devs will most likely rerun 9, 10, and 11 at the end of the year, maybe even 12 (if it releases this year anyway). past exp rewrds can only be brought back via twitch rewards, (or ofc reruns, but they've never rerun past expeditions more than once, and 1-8 have all had their rerun), or if on pc, modding/save editing

there are past exp rewards that can be traded between players, such as companion eggs

Land, and start looking for the nearest Storm Crystal spawn. They will be scattered across the landscape.

Get an economy scanner, and look for uncharted systems (the ones without a race or economy), shouldn't be that hard. The bigger uncharted systems can have upwards of 2-3 planets with exotic animals.

Are the creatures ph random or something, I've been to two of the planets marked as corrosive blood mission ones and lowest ive found is 3.4. Even matches the name the guy posted but his is 1.9 mine is 3.4

if you do something above 2.5 it softlocks it and it wont go below

the 3.4 is the current in your creatures tab. if it does not match with the target animal, it means you scanned something else

it's something like if you already scanned a reasonably toxic creature, it gets marked as your wonder and breaks the milestone if it's not low enough for it

someone said earlier about save editing to clear the wonder back to 0, then scanning again, but not everyone can/wants to use

hunter/killer you really do just have to scan predators until you get one

What about the visit a red star one anyone have trouble with that, I've been to at least 5 red systems now, have the hyperdrive upgrade ofc and still says I need to do it.
