You don't technically even need to install the scanner module for the minotaur, you can scan on foot before you hop in and it extends the range lmao
but i'd suggest getting the scanner and advanced laser, makes everything so quick

You start an expedition as a new save from the main menu. Nothing crosses over it’s totally separate. You’re presented with a bunch of missions to work through like a story - they are in parts; 8ish missions per part; each gives rewards. Some parts give rewards which then persist across all your saves (mostly cosmetic like new jet trails; helmets etc). Most missions are single player but when you get to right near the end there is a community goal which everyone has to achieve - though right now it’s almost complete. Everyone then completes that at the same time and can finish the story. That help?

Workaround:
- Manual save when you enter the anomaly.
- Dunk seeds, get echo collective.
- Talk to spider-bot, and pick one of the choices.
- Reload your MANUAL save without saving beforehand.
- Repeat steps with second choice.
- Reload your MANUAL save file again.
- This allows you to complete the expedition without being bugged.
- Go to Quicksilver Companion and collect both helmets.
Appearance modifier to equip any of your awesome helmets!
