It's a steam API issue afaik, the Steamworks API isn't correctly generating the authentication token needed for the game client to register with HG's servers, so it isn't something HG can work on

Not only steam, there's an issue with the SSL as well. It has rolled back to 2016 once again. This has happened in the past as well. The game DB server and virtual regional servers and the client side are all experiencing SSL handshake issues, leading to major packet losses.

As much as I love Solar Ships, the Expedition gave me a really not pretty combination to say the least. So I junked it as fast as possible for an Interceptor.

Settlements just give you some random missions and buildings/arbitrary decisions you can make. When you're done you'll get some resources generated for free every once in a while depending on choices you made

Nothing too crazy tho just somewhat rare or valuable things, totally supplementary, not good as a source of anything

A quest you get when you defend your settlement from sentients for the first time. Leads to getting sentient parts for your minotaur, and an ai core so it can move around on its own.

You would need to convert the save to Normal mode

Then arrange a trade with another player
