okay so my experience with past expeditions that set up base as a milestone requirement are Blighted, Leviathan and Utopia, it was Utopia that needed to set up a base per planet.

You're looking at it the wrong way. You expect it to be a single player event with rewards given when you personally succeed at something. This is a community event, meant to draw people together and link their progress.

When crafting the Construct Legs, one of the items needed is Lubricant in amount of 2. Instead of looking for Faecium and Gamma Weed for crafting, you can get Lubricant from Nexus missions - one of the possible rewards is 5 pieces of Lubricant. With that amount you could even share the rest to other Travellers in need of said product!

Another tip, for the Nanite Hoarder milestone. Remember that despite being in expedition mode, game still tracks your progress towards the standard journey milestones, like on-foot exploration distance or sols survived in extreme weather. When visiting Space Anomaly, talk to Iteration Ares (right of Cronus) to transmit journey milestone data for nanites. You can also always scan objects and transmit that data to Iteration Helios.

I have a unique way to collect nanites, by scanning all creatures within planet then go to log and submit all scanned creatures for heaps of nanites, yet a lil bit time consuming.

Ok, just to wrap up: Sentience Echoes crystals can be spawned and mined with exomech, you need to install the scanner, the mining laser and precision mining laser. You will need to be in "destination reached" range to get the crystal to spawn

to find a crashed interceptor you can either fight in space or fight on the ground, through all the waves till you finally beat them all and at that point you'll get a resonator thing that will lead you to a ship. At the ship you will find a brain, you press E on that (once you've got the other components on you) and that'll send you to a temple thing, and when you go there it'll convert the brain you found to a Hylaline Brain

Are you looking for the brain to repair a sentinel ship to claim it? You get those from the ship wreck themselves (of which you can find 5 easily at each expedition point). Once you loot the brain from the wreck you use it and you'll be directed to an ancient site to "fix" it. That's then used to make the wreck claimable. (edit: and scrolling up I see allFun answered the same while I was typing this out 🙂 )

Then I think you managed to hit the bug that was mentioned in a hotfix

Fixed an issue that could cause the assembled Construct to offer its final choice too early in Phase 5 of the expedition, before the completion of the community goal in Sentience Echo. Note: until the community goal is completed, players who have already spoken to the Construct and made this choice early will be unable to redeem the rewards earned and their Ignition milestones will remain locked + encrypted.

We are not supposed to get any rewards from locked milestones before any progress in community research is made

I've been trying to get clarity on this but I'm so confused, was the milestone you're talking about only available from a bug? it was my understanding that if you choose ||the reactor|| then you get the sentience echo mission and if you choose ||the seed of hope|| then you got the milestone we're talking about
