there are two systems not far off the route. Prazlich is 24 light years from Bunyagile (R1), Korvax T2 DNA economy, T2 conflict; world Cakieves Yoko (toxic, fungal mould) has striders. Additionally, Hivaleyms III is 15 light years from Ogaets (R3), Gek, T2 beaker economy, T3 conflict; world Izonakr X has striders. It also has a couple of predators though so be alert.
Should not be too hard once you made it to either planet

Find the 'strider', interact, get Tall Eggs

I didn't get lucky like some and run across one by chance, I had to go and gather all the Nautilon + sonar parts and fuel recipe. Then scout a deep enough water area. Meh.

Its easy. Use a station teleporter to go back to the Bunyagile Hub, then head out on your ship, open the galaxy map, and locate the nearby korvax system listed in that post. It will be 24LY away, and filtering by lifeform, it should be the closest blue-colored one in relation to where your marker will be.

Not necessarily. They come from diplos, which are long-necked, four-legged dinosaur-like creatures. If there are some of those around then sure. If not, check the pinned message for the name of a planet and system that has them.

Not sure if pets count but that's just one more. I managed to get that done with a large cluster of creatures while doing the 'feed 8 creatures' one. Just toss some pellets near a large group and take the picture when they all come to feed on it.

Find a beach. The rainy planet in the rendezvous 1 system is great for this. Also gets you giant eggs. Use the quickmenu to toss pellets (under the creature icon submenu). Toss it at a mob of diplos. Photo from above. Boom.

I had incredible luck with the abyssal horror, landed on a random coast on a planet off the route to get some crystal sulphide to build a nautilon and there was one right there in the shallow water, didn't need the nautilon at all

there are many. if you have an exocraft with the right scanner upgrades in it, you can just mark them one after another and go repair them and get slots

Depending on the planets size you can unlock all slots in a single planet. I've done that a couple times. :P And the roamer only costs 10 salvaged data so its pretty easy to unlock even during the expedition, if you want.

not exactly, but you can check which rewards you're missing on the quicksilver vendor at the anomaly, and it lists which expeditions they're from.

it should, in theory, always work - sometimes the display of the 'claim for free' button bugs out and shows a price, but if its your first, even when that happens no money will be taken from your account. :P

you have two free S scanners from the Ornitholog and Marine Biology milestones

install 2-3 S class scanner upgrades that have a bonus to fauna. Save before installing the mods in case you get bad rolls.

make sure they are installed and give bonuses for scanned fauna

if not, go to r2 space station and buy one there and make sure it does... you need at least 2 with the bonus

you can try putting the upgrade in a super charged slot for extra mileage, then scan creatures until the milestone pops

@tacit schooner now, if after installing the mods, they don't have a bonus to fauna, install 3 random mods anywhere (suit, ship, MT, doesn't matter) before installing the scanner ones. Repeat as needed until you get the 3 scanner ones with fauna bonus. After that just scan a rare animal on a planet and that should do it.

if you need to buy more S class scanner mods, they're sold at the system for rendezvous 2 - Oprudn V station.

I don't understand the language but I guess you have 2 bonuses to fauna already? In that case try intalling one more. Same deal. Buy the upgrade, save before installing. If it doesn't have fauna, reload, install a different upgrade anywhere, then install the scanner one. If its still bad, reload, install 2 random ones, then the scanner. So on, until you get a good one. That's what we usually call 'rerolling' mods.

with 3 fauna bonuses, any rare creature scanned should be enough to complete the milestone.

Abyssal Horrors
To find an abyssal horror: on the Rendezvous 1 world, Sasa 16/W9 in the Bunyagile system, user Outer_Vort3 has built a base called “Abyssal Horror Location”, you can go there from the teleporter in the space station to get that milestone done.
Alternatively, on the starter planet Koma, in the starting system, player DoctorTreeez has built a base called "Abyssal", and you can go to the (abandoned) space station in the system and teleport to that, coords +2.72, +3.32. Once there, follow the plank walkway to the horror.
If neither of those are visible, in the Rendezvou 4 system on Oneza 38/U6 is a base called "Abyssal Horror there!" by player Ru1er, coords -64.58, +172.58; teleport there from the space station and then follow the line of flags out to the horror.

so my S cabinet, I never posted the info because there's something wonky with the reloads from other planets. half the time it shows up as a C class, I can't get the S rifle to re-appear, the rest of the time it's various S pistols. holding off until things settle down

Hello all... umm... I'm a bit stuck on the finding the first rendezvous... I'm at the location I followed with my sensor, but I"m seeing nothing ,and getting no quest update... wth am I missing? lol

Try to look for a tall Colossal Archive building nearby. If needed, there's a pinned post with the coordinates for every rendezvous.

anyway, in every expedition, the way rendezvous points work is that you get a marker to the general area, and then you have to use your visor to locate the actual place that you have to visit on foot. The visor will only point to it if you click on the rendezvous milestone to make it active, tho.
