you can do nexus missions and they'll dump you out in different color systems. you can also install and dismantle ship upgrades for cadmium

think you just have to build the sub platform on a planet. after that i believe you can just summon it from freighter

can get the plans from either a milestone reward or go to nexus and learn it

well as long as you ahve the orbital exocraft materialiser in freighter

How to host a freighter visit from another player

Make sure multiplayer is enabled and that you see messages about other player activity.
Be in your freighter with player marker on.
Set Options->Network->Group joins to all.
When someone asks in the discord for a visit, dm the person your NMS friend code, and wait.
• Note that if both you and the visitor are on Playstation, the other player will send you a PSN invite to be a friend; accept it.
• DO NOT accept an invite to play together, it is not needed.
• A similar mechanism exists if both players are on Xbox, or both are on Steam.

How to be the visitor

Add the person's NMS friend code (Network->options->show friend list->add friend)
• Note that if both you and the host are on Playstation, you will get a prompt to invite them to become a PSN friend; do so
• DO NOT invite them to a PSN group or session, no need for this.
• A similar mechanism exists if both players are on Xbox, or both are on Steam.
Now you will go out to the screen where you can choose single player/multiplayer and choose multiplayer.
Then you should see the host's session.
When you load in, you'll be taken to the host's current system. Head towards the other player marker or the freighter icon.
Land in the hangar, claim milestone, go to the space station, save there, and then you should be good to leave the group.
When you do, you will be transported to your original starting point.

from my understanding the only ways are: Send heaps of frigates out on missions. sometimes you can get modules. Check the Nexus for a mission with Frigate module. and search freighters flying around to see if you can shoot the part that gives you a Frigate module. dont know any others..

yes, daily there are 5 frigate missions available but at least two of them are ~20h long so it's wiser to put more rooms so you can send more frigates on more missions

you don't really need indium or emeril, if you just want them, then digging up buried caches is a way to get emeril, dig up 8 or 9, save, open, see if one has emeril, if not try reload and open again. for infium, frigate missions bring that back

Something weird happened when I started this expedition... I ran around my freighter checking stuff out for 10 min. Then jumped in my starship and landed on a planet. It said I completed the building a refiner room on the freighter but I did no such thing. And when I get back to my freighter I built the command room. And then the refiner room showed up next to it

If you're referring specifically to the expedition, you don't need a cadmium drive to complete all the phases. If you still want a cadmium drive, you can install one on your starship, which doesn't require cadmium like the freighter cadmium drive does.

It's not lost forever. Usually if you have one ship then you're in trouble but since you have another, you can spawn the first one at anomaly or freighter

How to host a freighter visit from another player

Make sure multiplayer is enabled and that you see messages about other player activity.
Be in your freighter with player marker on.
Set Options->Network->Group joins to all.
When someone asks in the discord for a visit, dm the person your NMS friend code, and wait.
• Note that if both you and the visitor are on Playstation, the other player will send you a PSN invite to be a friend; accept it.
• DO NOT accept an invite to play together, it is not needed.
• A similar mechanism exists if both players are on Xbox, or both are on Steam.

How to be the visitor

Add the person's NMS friend code (Network->options->show friend list->add friend)
• Note that if both you and the host are on Playstation, you will get a prompt to invite them to become a PSN friend; do so
• DO NOT invite them to a PSN group or session, no need for this.
• A similar mechanism exists if both players are on Xbox, or both are on Steam.
Now you will go out to the screen where you can choose single player/multiplayer and choose multiplayer.
Then you should see the host's session.
When you load in, you'll be taken to the host's current system. Head towards the other player marker or the freighter icon.
Land in the hangar, claim milestone, go to the space station, save there, and then you should be good to leave the group.
When you do, you will be transported to your original starting point.

That's it!

I also have my waypoint in the galaxy map set to the expedition route and see no end in sign, also when jumping around my freighter says it has a max distance of 624ly, but I cant jump more that 575 in a go. plz help

You can redeem the vector, or twitch ship if you have one, those will have hyperdrive. If not you will need to wait till you unlock the hyperdrive for ships.

I found it to work when I baby sat them. Open, load and do not close the window. I found it to be reliabable but not the way I wish to spend my time, tbh.

New to the game myself and others may have better work arounds that I am unaware of.

I'm kinda upset that the expedition save got moved to normal as soon as I finished. I really wanted to park my finished freighter at the first or second rendezvous and help out those passing through with the optional milestone and any resources they might be needing

The only rewards that carry over to other saves are the phase rewards and main reward for completion

Idk if this is the same as last expedition, but during the expedition all the X-class mods were incredible -- at their very best. When it converted to a regular save, they all changed to random C, B, A and maybe a couple S level mods.

Since these freighter mods are S-class, they might not change at all after conversion.

There's no module stat bump in this expedition, so there should be no problem of them rerolling after it ends.
