It was something I started to worry about after seeing the reward for hospitality

you're fine getting all of your rewards. the only reward you may want to wait on, if you do not intend to do a conversion to Normal yet (until the event ends) is the very final reward. once you claim Phase rewards though, they all become available across all your other saves (new and old).

you will be forced to convert the expedition save at the end of the event though, in 6 weeks, to Normal mode. it's how expeditions work.

they're shared across your save, in all containers you build in your bases and/or your freighter.

so you don't have to take their contents out.

More that they munge your username into some hash and use that as a seed for the RNG.
