any t3 or outlaw system will have a 3-5% chance of s-class. trigger freighter defense mission then immediately fly to station and exit ship to create save. exit station, kill pirates, check freighter class. if you don't like reload, fight pirates again, repeat

3 star Economies always have a slightly better chance. Other than that, depends on what model Freighter you're looking for.

I don’t think it matters too much. Just gotta play for 3 hours straight and warp 5 times then you’ll start spawning S Class. There’s some good YouTube videos on it.

I recommend having the economy scanner installed, landing at a trading post, letting the first wave come in, then reloading your autosave until it flies in with the first 4. May take 10-20 reloads or so.

Well I have some questions

Do you know what you're looking for and where it is? Or are you looking for options

1. You will need glyphs so you can use the portals. There are a few ways of doing this which we can discuss if needed.

2. You will need access to the galaxy the ship you want is in. Fortunately if you are new, many posted ships are in the starter galaxy, Euclid.

As you play longer, finish some of the main quests, etc, you will automatically find new galaxies. Star cabs can shuttle you to other galaxies as well, if you get in line. There's a discord server for them.

3. You will need to know what ship you are looking for. The nmsce on reddit (no man's sky coordinate exchange) is a nice place to start but I'd focus on newer posts that have been added since after the most recent major update.

4. Then there are a couple different strategies. You can find a crashed ship. This is easiest because it's free. Or you can look for a specific model to fly into a space station or trading post, which requires time and/or save scrumming if you want to find an exotic (usually) or an S-class non-exotic

Thanks man. Yeah I don't have any explorers, shuttles or haulers but I enjoy keeping an eye out for shared coordinates for cool looking ships and then hunting (err... waiting) for the S-class to fly in

its something i do in the background of my other objectives now. if i see something i like ill look into it. but found a good A solar and a decent S solar. gonna ride those out til i stumble into something better. dont have glyphs yet after that ill do some serious hunting

i always end up having 1 thing i dont like and it ruins the whole ship for me. im just enjoying the game for now. ill post a pic of my current one when i get home. its my first S. dont like the nose but its S so whatever. plus i never really see the nose in flight anyways lol

Gek systems will have haulers more often, Vy’keen systems will have fighters, korvax systems will have explorers. Outlaw systems have solars, of course.

yes, if you want the materials, doesn't affect sale price and if you don't dismantle you lose the opportunity. you'll usually get wiring looms at the very least which saves some units in the long run, plus other miscellaneous materials

it's not essential though, if you don't care about looms or whatever elements it yields feel free not to bother, I like to maximize my return though so always dismantle tech before scrapping

when i scrap i almost always get wiring looms, sodium, metal something (whatever you get when you refine cadmium and other metals).
also has a chance to drop some inventory slot upgrades and modules for suit/ship/multitool

my advice is manual scrap what you can before station scrapping, always yields something you won't get when not doing it manually. same with deleting bases etc.
