you can just ignore the pirate raid, you're gonna be reloading your save to refresh the ship spawns anyway which also resets the pirate attack

They are not particularly hard to find. Most inhabited systems will spawn freighters. They will bring frigates. Fly up to one that interests you and recruit it.

Try to avoid ones with negative traits if possible. Prioritize those that give bonuses to fuel consumption or reduced expedition duration.

So after 300 hours in my new main save I still haven't come across an s class freighter. Any tips would be appreciated. Or coordinates to a system with one. I have enough warpfuel to bounce back and forth.

Not looking for frigates. I know I can upgrade those to s class with missions. But now that I think about it I'm coming across a lot of industrial frigates. I'm looking for support and trade ones but they are not a priority atm.

It's just luck and lots of reloading that determines whether or not you can get them

Put that economy scanner to work

Find 3 star economies and get to hunting. If you are searching capital freighters that's a different deal

My suggestion would be to not try and settle for a A, but if you have to have an S the best way is to do a manual save right before jumping into a system with a freighter you like, timed such that you get a battle every time.

That way you don't have to keep repeating the jump

I have all the colors unlocked. As I mention pricing isn't an issue lol wither it be units or nanites. I also have about 10k in quicksilver in just waiting on us to finish anomaly missions to unlock the chair lol

@fresh jewel where you go to upgrade or unlock stuff on your freighter you can hit r1 (on ps5 or ps4) to go to the color tab.

You just have to wait at locations they land until until an S shows up. It helps to reload once you get to the location because ships come in waves.

I don't think the spawn pools were reset, at least not entirely. Went to a system and I visited back in July 2021 and am finding the same things I found before.

if you're already in the system that has the cap ship you want, leave the system via station portal and then warp into the system in your personal ship

cap ship events don't trigger if you enter the system in any way that isn't your 1-person ship, so any type of portal, using a freighter, etc won't trigger it

That happens.
The landing ships are on a permanent cycle, they will land back at the station. Highest chance of getting a sail ship to spawn is to wait at a space station in a pirate controlled system, they have multiple sail ships landing where as a non pirate system may not get any sail ships landing at the space station.

Each star system has a "pool" of ship seeds, any ship you see will eventually land back at the space station in that star system.

You should really get that done before worrying about this stuff. Ship hunting and customization is expensive and more of a mid late game deal

I hate that my economy scanner always takes me to the most extreme planets with constant storms when it locates trade posts

If you activate it in a planet atmosphere it will usually find one on that planet

Doing it from space is totally random
