Alright, so in this game you get fighters, explorers, haulers, etc. You also get living ships. The size of your standard starship, except these are really living ships. How to get a living ship, you need to purchase a void egg from the Anomaly. You will learn very soon what this is

as for the starborn runner its something you can only get from a previous expedition so its not something you can get unless somone sells it to you or you mess with game files to either give it to yourself reunlock the expedition so you can unlock it yourself

Fair. What i will say is if your gonna go freighter hunting then make sure to make a restore point before every warp jump. That way once you find the one you want you can reload until its an s class

pretty much you rent frigs for capitol freighter jobs or are they actually a ship as well?

Frigates are kept forever when hired (unless you manually remove them from the fleet), and can be hired with any type of freighter owned, not just the large capital designs. They're mainly for sending out on missions to collect items, costing Frigate Fuel to send out.

Some of them also have passive little things, like the combat ones coming to help you in combat when your freighter is in-system, as well as other ones giving you things when you land aboard them

i do recommend watching videos on what kinds of kinds of each kind of ship are out there

there sems to be 2 cockpit models of a ship and everything else is pretty randomized after that

Rainbow living ship at +14.68, +119.59, Euclid. Make sure to have a void egg in ur inv for it to work, also make sure you have completed the "Starbirth" quest or it will not work. (Red/Green/Blue)

System freighters have a few lengths, but are all generally the same size/at the same scale

The thing that is always the same size between all freighter models is the hangar/bridge area, which is a good place to compare system freighter designs to capital freighter designs

The maximum length capital freighter designs are a very similar size to Pirate Dreadnaughts, with the sentinel ones being longer I believe, while the venator ones cover more surface area of a planet, but the pirate dreadnaughts seem to have the largest volume

They really haven't, they handle frigate expeditions, easy storage container managing and operate even moreso as a base than corvettes

Also they have the Scanner Room, Galactic Trade Terminal, base NPCs etc

i read that you need at least two or three connected in order to get your expeditions to cost no fuel

IME supercharging fuel things barely made a visible difference, if you want zero fuel cost just use all support frigates

What do you mean by manufacture? Do you mean the Starship Fabricator?

You can select the desired colors when all three parts and a reactor are placed in their slots

SC slot layout is deterministic, based on the combo of parts + reactor class + star system, all three of those being the same means the exact same SC layout, change any of those to "reroll"

It does, it came with a Photonix Core

Players can't transfer packaged tech with each other unfortunately, so even if somebody did have a spare then they wouldn't be able to give it. You could claim a new copy of that ship and set it as your primary ship in an expedition save that was began from your main save and transfer that back to your main save, but idk how that works with the current expedition or if it's different

I thought somoene told me this before, bad thing is. I got the star ship from another person, there is no way for met getting it from an expedtion. I don't trust mods as it has destroyed a passed game of mine. Shame though

Oh, getting the Starborn Runner from another player does not give you the Photonix Core

Only getting it from the Consumerism mod or from the service bot's expedition reward unlocker would give the ship with it's original tech configuration (besides it's original source)

Mods in this game have no way of "destroying your game" thankfully

Besides some freak accidents with updates, and even then make backups!

So I found a planet with this little guy on it. I do really like the ship. My question is should I keep farming the planet till I get an S class or is grinding nanites to 50k a feasible option? I’ve already claimed and sold 30 of these so although I’m rich AF I’m starting to lose faith in seeing an S 😭😭😭

personally i'd swap out the cyclotron ballista, since it's cool and helpful but the Phase Beam is the only weapon that actually heals you when fired - so it is extremely useful.

I'd replace the Cyclotron with either Infra-Knife or the Positron Ejector, depending on preference.

yea, the phase beam recharges your shields so with the right upgrades it kinda makes you unkillable if you use it right.

Infra-Knives have the best DPS in the game, i've seen some screenshots of 90k DPS infra-knife builds. Positrons are basically shotguns and they can also have insane damage (39k DPS on my current exotic), and they can actually damage multiple ships at once if they're close to each other.

But at the end of the day - the game PvE is still extremely easy, so if you want to use something that just looks cool - go ahead

If you had multiplayer enabled and there were other players in the system, one of them may have already taken it and told your game that it was already taken I think. You might just need to return later, with multiplayer disabled before arriving

From the Quicksilver Synthesis Companion aboard the Space Anomaly, you can buy a Void Egg for 3,200 Quicksilver which begins the mission to earn a regular living ship (though this is not The Wraith)

The one you see there in the Space Anomaly in the picture you sent is The Wraith from Expedition 17: Titan, which should have a redux at the end of this year

I don't have coordinates for one but I am curious about how you are trying to locate one.

The easiest way to get one quick is to get the location of a crashed ship and claim it. Unless someone is farming the location you should be able to snag one with little effort.

If you are looking for a specific ship that can be found in system and purchased from an NPC it may take you hours to get it. You may want to look up a guide for how to check space stations and planetary trade outposts for the ship you want.

You can find crashed Exotic ships, but they are just as rare as finding a lifeform piloting them (1 in 301), and even an experienced crashed ship hunter will have trouble finding enough crash sites to make that feasible

Honestly not sure and on ur previous question yes its easy with shards bc on everything from sentinal ship 1 shard is max fuel so grab as many as u can before gettin bored of it and enjoy and when u run low just warp to dissonant and stock up again or put base on dissonant planet so u can teleport :)

tips for that then use haz glove at abandonded buildings for the eggs. gives 50 per so you can get 500 per stack of 10. there are a few other resources that refine into a good chunk of nanites. also do pirate stuff. the suspicious packages (mainly arms and tech) give you x class modules and those sell for a pretty penny if not installed first

Experimental types (balls) are the more common of the 2. All exotics have a 1 in 301 chance of spawning. Squid types are the same spawn rate but also have a 1 in 20 star systems. Ball types also have randomized parts like most ship types

I have four ships. Sentinel, exotic, which took like 1.5 hours, Robert, the red solar ships, my first after the radiant pillar, and then Robert 2.0, the blue solar ship.

I also have a question for anyone who knows. What are the advantages of shuttles?

They are very cheap, that is pretty much the only advantage (besides style)

Their stat bonuses are quite low, but that definitely doesn't stop you from using them and upgrading them immensely

The easiest way I am aware of

Or, kill sentinels until the level goes up like 3, jump on your ship to take the fight to the sky and keep taking their ship down.
That will bring the Sentinels freighter, destroying it will give you something AI, using it will give you the position of the ship, use the refiner loop to keep it.
It will avoid the Harmonic Camp altogether but you still need the Inverted Mirror resonator so

Harmonic Brains only come from the mission to repair the ship, the only people who will have any will have squandered a sentinel ship at the last minute for no reason

If not, find and destroy Dissonance Resonators until one drops an Echo Locator

Then use that to locate a Harmonic Camp, which once you finish it's small puzzle allows you to hunt endless sentinel crash sites

Beyond being an exotic ship type, therefore having quite high stat bonuses all around but not the highest at anything specifically, no

Sentinel ships handle completely differently to all other types of starships, they turn faster when boosting and slower when slowed/stopped, and have the ability to hover in place in-atmosphere and go much faster in-atmo than any other ship type in the game

They are also charged using different items, some of which may be much easier to gather a lot of than standard starship recharging resources

Solar ships are quite great early on for being quite cheap and having built-in launch thruster auto-charging and a much higher pulse engine fuel efficiency, other than that they are similar to fighters but with higher maneuverability and lower damage potential

Not really, many people dislike their low base maneuverability and how upgrades influence their handling, as well as some of their refueling options aren't as renewable as regular ships (like not accepting Pyrite as pulse engine fuel)

They are amazing for most things though, but still don't have the highest damage potentials etc, even though that is unimportant if you want something fast

Oh, the Matter Beam technology?

It allows you to access the freighters' cargo and technology inventories from across the universe, and any placed Storage Container inventories when you are in the same star system as the freighter

It is not as useful as most make it out to be, placing things in sc slots at all is still a much higher bonus than the adjacency of those slots being together

In case you don't know, build a base at the Harmonic Base.
You can spam the computer and it will keep giving you the location of the spaceships, I got a C, C and A class finally.
I had a base already but I didn't know it unlocks forever, I thought it was one time use only.

As long as you have inverted mirror and radiant shard, you can spam the computer. No glitch!!
I was wasting echo within the same planet 🤦 , I got 5x echos and 20x inverted mirror, half of it within 10-15min.
It must have been luck or bug, they are not easy to spot in some planets, this planet tho I was getting 2x Echo together, 4x within a 200u radio, 2x at the Harmonic Base.

I got 2x A, 1x B, 2x C classes spaceship, easy money.

lmao, I am trying the same with Sentinel ships, I know that there are gliphy/portal shared with S class ones, I am trying to find thing without "cheating" as much as I can. I have the antimatter fusion at my base so I have enough antimatter/warp fuel to sink a ship 😅

@tawdry loom , not the strongest but I am taking around 2min20s to get Dreadnoughts to surrender.
Cyclotron goes brrrrrrrrr and takes down shields like no joke but overheat fast, the Sentinel Canon tho takes forever to heat, pirate ship is boring now.
That is enough fuel while I hunt both Class S Dreadnoughts to replace my Class A and cooler Sentinel ship.

I need to unlock the freighter galactic scanner or something, coz right now I cannot see the systems before I jump.
I am not sure if it move over to another freighter tho, it cost 8x freight savage so I don't wanna find out the hard way the upgrades don't move over.
