I did that quest recently so I can gain access to an atlantid multi tool and I remember having to jump systems 16 times. 1 per each glyph

And I think it gave me the glyphs? So its just a matter fueling the glyphs?
Again im in creative, but i have noticed something with glyphs during the Artemis quest line

For the pirate dreadnaught make a restore point then use a conflict scanner to jump into a pirate controlled star. Disable the 4 engines in the back then blow up all of the giant laser cannons on the top. They will surrender then you land. Go into scan mode and look at the ship in the hangar. If it isnt an S class reload your restore point and just jump back to the same system and repeat the process till its an S class

You can check the images of this channel for ships you might like, just look around on youtube, or the portal repository or similar sites

If you can afford it, I think yes. All of the raw values are higher or equal (except for fleet coordination, and I don't really use that) and there's more tech slots. I wouldn't spend any freighter bulkheads on it, but other than that I'm not sure what exactly is better about A-class vs. B-class.

Then I saw permadeath so started playing that. I dunno what it is guess the excitement of trying to stay alive makes it better. Otherwise I just do expedition then walk away till next one. So I dont habe much experience in game really yet

Alright, not so good at this. You would want to have a ship with the highest class (S), than you want to find upgrade parts for your ship that has a X (black market) or an S (highest system legal item limit). Normally you find these quite often, I will send you a screenshot now

You can get exotics in pretty much any star system but are higher spawning in rich systems or pirate systems. Just wait at a space station or trading post for one to land or use reload point spam at a trading post to get one faster

Ok so first things first when hunting exotics. They are always S Class so you will need at least 20 million units if not 30 to be safe

Ok good. 2nd in any star system exotics have a 1 in 301 chance of spawning. So your best bet would be to go to a planet and use an economy scanner for a trading post

Once you go there land next to it. Dont land on one of the pads

Construct a save point and activate it to create a restore point

Then reload the point. This will clear the trading post of ships. Wait like 30 seconds and 5 ships will land on the post. If its not an exotic reload the restore point till one shows up and buy it. That is the fastest method i know of. You could also have a chance at finding a crashed one you need to repair but that heavily relies on rng

But in basic terms. There are 7 starship types. Fighter, Hauler, Explorer, Solar, Sentinel, Shuttle, and Exotic. Fighter, Hauler, Explorer, and Solar can be broken down into components at space stations consisting of 3 parts (varies by type) the starship module merchant on stations sells class reactors. You can take any set of 3 parts and a class reactors and fabricate a custom starship of one of these 4 types i mentioned. For how i would help you on that i could show you the part options then put them together and send you a picture to see if your happy with it. After that we could hop into a lobby together and i could give you the parts and the class reactor so you could go create it for your own use

You can only have one freighter at a time (acquiring a new one always exchanges your previous one), 12 starships + 18 in the starship archive, and 6 multi-tools + 18 in the multi-tool archive

The Starship Archive is accessible from your freighter's bridge, in the Fleet Control console, while the Multi-Tool Archive is accessible from any placed Weapon Rack base object (the archives are not tied to what is used to access them, getting a new freighter or deleting the weapon rack does not alter archives)

a lot cheaper to get to the point you can find crashed ones you can claim and repair for no harm to your units, its also what you start with if you play normal first instead of the expedition. and also just personal preference

Kind of, moreso a little series of shelters far away that the mission directly points you to. I believe you also learn the blueprint for the Analysis Visor here, which helps you locate and return to your starship too

Yeah, those won't have the blueprint. The blueprint is gotten by following the mission to a specific structure and initiating a specific interaction with something. Have you repaired all of the ship components besides the one that requires a Hermetic Seal?

You can recruit them for creds when you see a capitol ship you don't own, they're the smaller ships that are bigger than a corvette

But nowhere near the size of the freighter

We basically exchange the ship to an NPC on a space station, then when he owns my ship. You come in and take it from that NPC for free. You can then claim it or exchange it for another. However, better move fast before he flies away.

i was looking for something more than the 2 big pod cans versions that seems to be the main video one because of slots

try checking the build starship console in the space stations, it shows lists of ship parts

The slot positions are always random on ships, so a ship can always have perfect slots but looks good to you, just, the odds of a perfect supercharge slots is... astronomically bad

Which ends up making majority of the perfect ones, not what you'd want

nobody bothers with explorers because their specialty is warp range, but the best explorer can barely reach half of what an upgraded freighter can do

you simply can't hunt ships given as expedition rewards

the only way to obtain expedition rewards of past expedtions is to either cheat them or wait and see if the expedition is brought back one day (which I think they did one time or so)

but idk if that works for the starborn phoenix
