So I am somewhat new to hunting for sentinel ships, and I dont know if this is common knowledge, but I figured it out myself, so I thought id share it just in case anyone else wasnt in the know. When you get an echo locator and use it, it will sometimes (usually) give you a camp to go to that has a computer to use. You can unlock a sentinel multitool, and then use it to give you a marker for a downed sentinel ship in the area. If before you leave, you set your beacon on that camp.. you can go look at the sentinel ship it marked, and if its one that you want in S grade, you can then keep going back to your marker at that camp and using the computer over and over again to find more ships, without needing another echo locator.

Yes. There's a time and jump requirement as well - you have to have 3 real-time hours and 5 jumps between each battle

You don't have to be in a high conflict system unless you are trying for a dreadnought - which is the pirate variety of capital ship.

Otherwise you'll get either a venator or a sentinel

And you can just spin in a asteroid field and get alot of resources

Personally I'd rather have a more balanced ship, and boost multiple ship systems, than just 1 system that don't need it. Each to there own though. I do fine with my 20k dps photo cannon, kills ships as fast as IK as less missed shots, but I just notice difference between IK and photon cannon when killing dreadnoughts

T is great Diamond is a bit more specialised for Combat Ships but T is more general tbh there are more specialised shapes and suchs for other things but yea T good unless you wanna go for some special build

It’s not that I don’t want a pirate dreadnought, it’s that I recognize I’ll never be able to replace the freighter that I have. 3 years ago, I reloaded easily over 100 times until I got it to spawn as S-Class. That was an emotional moment for me when it did, and it’s something I can never replace.

Genuine Question for ship lovers ... I am struggling to decide which of these ships to really work on (excuse cheesy names with Infinite combinations) - These are all base bone stats. The Sentinal ships appear to have less damage potential but also seem to do damage quicker in a dog fight and are super maneuverable.

so i found grass hopper here mostly black with a orange square on top i found a b class so far, but it let me have a pillar to shut the corrupt sentinels down may not be news to some but free mirrors and combat supplies everywhere. so make room in my inventory i sol one of mt c class ships and on the way to the space station i got an anomaly alert and i got the living ship and it talked to me about the void egg i bought from the quicksilver i thought you had to have it in your inventory for the ship to appear, but i was told wherever it is the ship will eventually show up. now when i looked in the ships inventory guess what i saw a void egg that was not there before and i said oh my egg i bought. until i got back to base. i got a free egg. because i only had one i put spoiler on justin case. b

You can have a fleet of frigates, that you send on missions to provide you with some rewards
You can have your ships there, and also, you can have your friends land their ship there, so y'all can do a large jump together
You can have a farm inside them
They expand your inventory by ALOT
You can only customize the "inner base" inside the frigate, and the outside colors (which is a sham)
also, if you space battle near them it and the whole fleet will help you on the battle

The only reason I see getting a frigate is for the exocraft bay but even then I rarely use the motorcycle for transport & the mech for fighting since it’s so fucking slooow

But if I can’t fight in them, can’t drive them, they seem like a resource sink for a slightly more convenient base

you can look up glyphs for specific freighters, they will usually spawn in a pirate attack. once you kill all the pirates or the pirate dreadnaught, you'll usually be able to claim the freighter

you MUST be playing for at least 3 hours tho

so one thing people do is save scum it

also, your first event and second event are guaranteed to have a "normal" freighter. after that you can get capital ones, and claim them for free, if you didn't claimed one already

yeah if you are in a system that you know will spawn a freigher you want, set a restore point in a neighboring system before warping into the target one to trigger the event. then you can keep respawning to get a high tier

did that for like 4 hours to get my sentinel dread

yep, and each system spawn one type of freighter, so going in the same system expecting something different will be a waste of time. the only thing that will change is the ship rank, so you can get an S one this way (might take a whiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiile tho)
