Finally got it in Euclid tonight. Korvax piloted. I warped between the same three Korvax pirate systems several hundred times over the past 3 days. On the third warp in the same system the battle spawned every time between a Pirate Dreadnaught and a Sentinel Dreadnaught. I always checked both and they were C-Class more often than not. Came across a few B-Class, and a couple A-Class. I was always hoping the Sentinel Dreadnaught would be the S-Class, but it looks like I'm flying with pirates now...

I think so. It's just a visual bug.

I think if you use the wings the right side wing will darken out, if you stand on it camera to close it'll correct, but a lil distance returns it to normal. If flown 3 person view the right side wing will darken out. The ship appeared normal after construction for some time. When it first started I could trigger the bug manually by standing on the wing and jetting off,>around and back to (how well that works idk) after a while it seemed to settle and seemingly it's stayed this way but still standing on the wings or bring the camera close enough temporarily fixes. Other ships with similar wings and others will now begin doing the same visually. If that's static for other players idk.

That sc slot configuration can be acquired at the given coordinates if constructed there>Euclid Galaxy.

can second, it's just a glitch that happens when player bases with launchpads are built too close to crashed ships. built a base on top of an a-class crash site when i was first starting out, ended up producing an infinite ship generator on accident.

you can find them randomly if you're really lucky or use an emergency navigation map (the red icon) to get either an npc rescue or a claimable crashed ship

What can I do to increase the odds of coming across and S-Class pirate freighter? I keep hopping from outlaw system to outlaw system, but I never find any pirate freighters attacking civilians that I can take over

outlaw systems that spawn dreadnoughts every time are fairly rare, you could also save before warping so that if you get a freighter event you can reload save and keep trying. landing on an NPC freighter doesnt make a restore point so you can beat the dread, land on it and check class, and if its not S class you can reload save. Outlaw systems have 85% C, 5% each other class so its normal to see nothing but C class for a very long time. if u want A or B class then searching 3 star conflict 3 star economy systems has better chance for those, but only 2% S class

also they only show up if u already own a freighter, so u cant get them as your first freighter on a file

How do you check both? When I land on the pirates I can't then land on the civ freighter does it work differently with sentinals?

I just found that Korvax s-class pirate freighter last night in Euclid. I can share glyphs if you want? I'm not sure how that works with it spawning in the same for everyone?

I'd make the pirate freighter surrender before they destroyed the sentinel dreadnought by taking out all four engines on the back bottom first, then all shield generators with fuel rods in the two trenches. I'd board once they surrendered, get out of my ship, and scan the inside of the pirate freighter to see class. If it wasn't s-class, then I'd go to the captain, take the units, get back in my ship, fly over the to sentinel dreadnought, board, exit, and scan the inside to see class. If it wasn't an s-class, I'd get back in my ship, warp to another Korvax pirate system, then another, then back to the third and the battle would spawn back in every time as long as I did it that way. I found (or at least it seemed like) if I didn't warp between the same 3 korvax pirate systems each time the battle wouldn't always spawn in. I did this for about a total of 12 hours before the priate freighter was the first to spawn in as an s-class.

Editing to add I did find I could create a restore point before warping into the battle to avoid the other 2 warps, but I had plenty of fuel and was enjoying the grind. I filled all of my storage with contraband to sell as I went from pirate system to pirate system.

How do you find exotic ships

every systems has 1 exotic, they just have a low spawn rate, but enough time played and systems travelled you will eventually encounter them naturally. otherwise you can use the glyph system to warp to system that has one you like and hunt for it

or you can find crashed exotics, in locked locations, use gylphs to warp to system, and claim it

But basically it's more about what you like more, both solar and sentinel interceptor are fully viable and have their advantages

Solar is extremely efficient with fuel, sentinel interceptors fuel can be easily harvested from dissonant planets (1 radiant shards will recharge any system to 100%)

Getting nanites isn't a problem either, plenty of ways to do it ( !faq-nanites command in #bot-spam if you need tips)

I found a 3rd S class freighter on a new save, but I pulled in my existing freighter to pull parts and they started fighting each other and I lost the S. No idea how it happened. My freighter was firing its big red lasers, I didnt even know that was possible after you captured it.

Yes I believe so. They’re imo easier to farm because they don’t really involve much combat (other than the corrupted sentinels but you can avoid their wrath by tunneling down and waiting for them to stop searching for you)

In general gammeplay you wont see a difference, and scattered SC slots may be helpful to boost different techs

But there's this wrong idea passed around that the SC layout is somehow necessary for max gains, it just hyped stuff.
But past a certain point, you'll be melting anything in the game anyways.
Even with one SC slot for the weapon tech, all blueprints, and S class mods, placed in the proper way, everything just falls in seconds

Also, you can always divert power to the infraknife during combat, when necessary

Yer bk was saying he does, I was testing yesterday how much dps you need to take out engines, shield and Hull on dreadnought to get module reward. Tried with positron and photon, and they just don't have high enough sustained dps to get it, with s class modules.

When you take out engines, after you take out shield and power gen, there is a 5 to 10 second window to get as much dps on hull as you can. If you can blow it up in that window, you get big reward, if you cant small one

But thats why bk201 and others thought you couldn't get module when you take out engines 1st, cause he used photon, and not enough dps in that window.

Yer, I think cause 1st time I did, I didn't know what to do and it escaped, so was told take out engines to stop it escaping. So that's what I did, and just habit now

Several places. Sentinel ships can be salvaged for free on any planet designated as "Dissonant". You can buy new starships at Trade outposts, or on Space Stations. Starships can also be salvaged on planets as well.

nevermind, if you have had dread spawn already you have, dreadnought battles can turn up in outlaw or high conflict space. Id keep jumping to different outlaw systems, until you find one that spawns battle everytime you warp in
