Well capital ships are the ones getting attacked by the pirate freighters. So you have 2x the chance to get either of those during a pirate battle when you enter a system.

System ships are randomly generated ones spawn in a system.

That'll get you started till you find a cool looking capital ship or pirate ship.

by making less popular colors more prevalent, they made them worthless and created some frustration

ship designs depend on the system ur in, so keep warping to different systems to see more ships. all ship types can be upgraded to be very strong so u can just warp around a bunch til u find something u think looks cool. if not many ships are flying into the station/trading outpost then u can save and reload and more will show up

Yes, they would, thank you. Can setup a base in next galaxy and jump in when battle happens. If you don't get S class reload and try battle again, keep reloading till S class.

If you mark the location of the computer to do the dissonance spike you can go back after claiming the ship and do it about 5-10 more times. Without hunting for a new coordinate item. I made a ton of money and nanites that way.

Hey I have been experimenting with ship building and trying to build my dream solar ship (black on black with orange sails). I have farmed the individual parts I need for the ship, but I am unable to unlock ironclad or stealth options. Any advice? Thanks in advance

You cant pick sail colour, it goes off body colour. On my Stealth paint solar the sails are white with no option to change. The stealth paint was a reward from the last expedition

Are ships not landing normally in stations for you guys? The waves seem super delayed for me atm and in some stations only one will land at a time

you get that sometime, sometimes at least pre world they used to stop, hence why alot of people use trade outposts on planets alot

Some people also reload between waves, its supposed to make them come faster

Trade Outposts generally have an extra landing pad to land on for npcs, especially if you park on grass next to outposts

When looking for a better class, I usually stick a base computer at a harmonic camp and use that to locate ship. If I find an A class I put a computer down to mark it, then if i dont find an S, A is better than nothing

Try a Trade outpost, and park next to into instead of pad. Can try reloading between wave, Me personally I dont, but then I Listen out for the distinctive engine landing sound

If you own a freighter, you can pulse ship for around 4 seconds, come out of pulse, call in freighter, after a while some npcs will spawn, if one aint exotic pulse again. If it spawns I will either land at freighter, or can land at a station or trade outpost, it may be a case of following it. This is best done on a save with only 1 ship in frieghter hanger

Trade outposts have more landing pads, so more npcs can land, also if you dont reload between wave, for me they tend to be faster and less likely to pause/ bug out

There is also the freighter battle method, but that only works if you have the 3 hr - 5 jump freighter battle

In that case, its basically a near guarenteed exotic spawn

Basically every standard freighter battle with 5 enemy ships, it will spawn ships to help you, 1 of those will be an exotic. If its 8 enemy ships it generally doesnt spawn, you can then reload and pick a different system. After the battle, the exotic will generally head towards station and land

yes, portal to system before the battle, warp to a uncharted system, ie a system with no space station and no race attached to it, land on a planet and make a save. Once saved take off and warp to system again

Freighter battles arnt triggered by using teleport, portals or warping to uncharted systems

star color wont affect it but system economy level does. S class is impossible to find in 1 star economy, so 2 and 3 star are much better for hunting. crash sites are a solid way to get ships early game and u can scrap them for units and ship storage upgrades, then once u have a bunch of units just buying thwm from pilots is a lot faster

That's a specific Interceptor ship, so either try the NMS cords website to find an exact copy, or hunt yourself by taking out a Sentinel Freighter and using the map you'll get from it to find a crashed one on any Dissonant world

Also, just an FYI, the frigates do upgrade in class as you send them out. So you may hire them as a C Class but they'll eventually upgrade themselves to S Class after enough successful missions.

Solar ships are in normal systems, just not common. Solar ships are usually common in pirate systems. The sails are what specialize them from the other classes of ships.

Yes, however I'd maybe wait 2 or 3 waves just in case. Some reasons it might not come are, 1. It was never a true 1st wave and the poster only checked it a couple of times. 2. Depending how old the post is, it might no longer be a 1st wave.

Yeah, personally I prefer 3+1 configuration

Allows for a very nice maneuverability and 1 slot for infra-knife is enough for it to melt enemies

If you enter system with mp on, and someone has took it recently with mp on, it will be gone. You would have to find another crash site on same planet, but there is a chance it would be a different class

Eventually they do respawn though

Advice please - in a Liquidators save, I wiped out a few waves of sentinels and got a Dissonance Location. Found an abandoned sentinel and was about to go and scrap it when there was another wave of sentinels came at me. After wiping them out with the Minotaur I went to claim the sentinel ship again but it gave me a different option, to exchange. I thought I'd see what would happen and reload the save if it went wrong so gave it a go. It went wrong, I reloaded my save but it landed me back with a crappy ship and my beautiful red and black sentinel dragonfly apparently gone forever 😐 Another oddness was that a group of 6 sentinel ships I had previously scrapped was back in my inventory to be scrapped all over again! Don't know what's happening. So I either want to get my ship from the main save over in Liquidators expedition of go ahuntin for a new one. What would folks recommend?

There's a bug with interceptors right now, I had a random green one show up in my inventory the other day as I was farming a purple and blue x wing model

It was brought over from the main save when I started Liquidators. It got renamed when I did it so I'm not totally sure what happened. Going back to the main save and going to the expedition terminal I didn't see a way of transferring ships. Is there something I'm missing?

Try going to the terminal in expedition, you can probably copy it again

I think you can only have one ship able to be copied from main, whatever you were using when you started it.

If that's not the case then it's whatever ship you have selected as your main ship on your main save will be what can be copied into expedition

Stack a pile of echo locators from a planet that has lots of spawns of inverted mirrors. You warp from galaxy to galaxy using the locators, it will tell you when there's a ship available. Remember, only one type of ship will spawn in each system so if you go get another one without warping it will be the same ship.
