I think the system has a mid tier economy, but yeah I didn't clear the HUD marker, I just claimed the ships and either sold them or used them to trade for other ships at the station for parts I wanted. Did this about 5-6 times before settling on an A class which I'm fine with

Including class without a crash site of that class will only confuse people
Every time a new ship spawns in that system it’s class will be rolled based on economy tier, meaning this ship only has a 2% chance of being S class every time it spawns

Also, each system has a pool of 21 ships that can spawn anywhere in the system, crash site, station, trade outpost, doesn’t matter

Each system has a set of random ship models, and crashed ships could be any one of those. I think there’s like 6 or 7 versions of whatever ship that system’s race likes the most: vykeen like fighters, korvax like explorers, and gek like haulers. After that, there’s 3 of each other type of ship, and then a chance that some models get replaced by solar or exotic ships. This is based on memory btw so refer to the wiki for exact details

your best bet is to go through distress maps and hope you eventually get led to it

Personally i wouldn't put bases at crashed ships, I've had issues in past where people/ I (on other accounts) can't interact with ship cause its on base.

But yep exotic crash sites in general are quite "rare" in the sense that people don't usually want to spend hours on end looking for a crash site. Although each system probably has few exotic crash sites. I've only ever found 2 exotic crash sites in 2000+ hours. Part of that is probably because I just find it easier and quicker to find a regular non crashed exotic.

Once you are in the system of the sentinel ship, use a carrier AI fragment or Echo Locator to find a crash site for it. The system only has 1 model of sentinel, but different crash sites will have different class ships like C,B etc

Distress charts won't find sentinel ships just "regular" ships for that system, maybe

Haven't got the cluster bonus, but the emeril, cadmium, chromatic and golden don't affect stats on the GUI (1 and 2) , and i was wrong it's only the first 3 trails who give off bonus stats (3rd pic)

So actualy this is the best setup i got for maneuv stat on the GUI

Knowing that, you can actualy choose wich trail to show due to how trails take over each other, if for ex. you don't like the rainbow one, just put other trails

idk the classment of the trails, but you can choose between 4 of the 7 trails and still get the max bonus (in my case, it's the stealth trail who's taking over)

and yes i know the maneuv stat is very high XD

maneuv is a combo of speed/acceleration/turning

hight maneuv (like what i have) is for max speed (with an interceptor), if you want better turn radius you need to use an exotic (usualy squid have better core stats) or a good solar

An expedition redux will contain only expeditions done in that year (there has only been 1 occasion another expedition has been conducted tho the rewards were not the same in that expedition as when it initially was done) and in sequence they appeared, you won’t be able to do other expeditions only what is being conducted.

hunted this hauler (Eissentam, coord in pic) and scrapped the wings to use them on the Iron Vulture cockpit and engine. I like the outcome. I call it the Blue Balled Iron Vulture. 😄

That is a good question. Seeing that there's SO many parts and configurations, this would require extensive testing of ships with pieces. Personally I would wait. The update is fairly new and subject to changes. What works now, might not be the best for later. I would recommend simply making the ship you think looks cooler for now, until more people try it and we can all come into agreement on which parts are best in terms of stats/rarity. One thing, as far as I know, the stats are randomized when you build the ship, and they do NOT depend on the pieces you used. Just like colors or ships are randomized naturally. That's all I know, I hope I could help out a bit with your question ^^

but the gist of it, is that everything is basically re-rolling the ships seed. Any changes will affect the ships seed, and so stats, and SC layout:

-parts used
-class of reactor used
-location of assembly

From observations, it does seem like some specific parts are still providing a specific stat bonus like we had before.

Again not fully documented yet (that i've seen).

even a ship with the exact same parts, can have different stats than another.
This is how its always been, because the stats are determined by the seed, not the parts themselves

From my understanding, Ship parts don't effect stats in any way, the Class of the ship does. The only relation between ship parts and class is the default number of opened slots they come with, With exception of Exotics, all ships come in a small, medium and large tier reflected in their look.

The stat difference you notice can be an unlucky procedural roll or is related to the tech and upgrades already installed on purchase.

i believe we were simply discussing the fabricator.
However since you mentioned, i thought its always been understood there were a couple parts that always gave certain ships higher bonus in a stat.
The heavy wings on fighters for example right ?

To me it still feels like its just seed rolling, and not a single part affecting stats in any way.

Ya the fabricator just appears to grab a seed, and the parts you use wouldn’t directly influence the seed it grabs

I’m included to agree, from playing with the fabricator I have not found the use of large tier parts given any more of a higher stat bonus than that of low, it’s purely just random or negligible differences at best

if you start the expedition from an existing save using the terminal in the Space Anomaly, and select the Iron Vulture as your primary ship in the expedition save before switching back to your primary save or finalizing the expedition, you can copy it into the primary save for a fee in nanites. 2800 IIRC

You can also use this to duplicate the ship you brought into the expedition, if you don't finalize the expedition.

yes, but please keep in mind to have the iron vulture ideally as your only ship. Sometimes it can bug out and just put there a random nothing burger ship, like it happened to me :C
