So I am going to stay in the system and find a relatively low populated planet trade outpost and wait there

I seen some janky bases that are really..ineffective of their save beacon placement 😳

Different parts have separate parts that can and can't work on then. Like the cockpits have Different wings that work, having the engine and taking it off changes what's available too. It's kinda messy, but I figured it out after a bit.

With sentinels, I just post 1 pic from behind flying, 1 from front flying, 1 from front landed, and if a class or above, a pic of visor view showing coordinates.

Reason I do like that is, some people fly 3rd person so you have to like view from behind, and the 2x front pics, cause sometimes change shape depending if flying or landed.

I think 1 goes into the other, you need parts to build a ship, which means looking for ship bits you like

There are color combinations available in the natural world that are not available in the ship builder

So in that respect, natural found may be better for you

But if you want an all white fighter or something, would certainly be a lot easier to find an S class fighter you liked if you just built it.

ship purchase prices are based on type (solar vs fighter, in this case), class, and storage slots. solars range from 1.2M (c class, 15 slots) to 14M (s class, 30 slots), while fighters range from 1/2M (c class, 15 slots) to 57.5M (s class, 38 slots) and of course you get less on a trade-in, much like trading in a used car. there are tables on the wiki, not sure if I can drop links here, but a quick google for 'nms price catalogue - starships' should find it

When I was working on enabling pure black colour option for fabricator colour palette with another modder

We saw that RGB values for grey colours would cause the ship to have green tint

Despite white and black RGB values working just fine

In this case, the whole point is that we are dealing with the RGBA palette. The game does not take the values A<1 and rounds them up to the integer 1 when compiling. Hence the problem with the black color 🙂

I think I might’ve found the closest thing to my perfect ship design. Well, one of my designs.

This one I'm absolutely being selfish with. Red/black. The red is a little light, and I wish it had the engine, though I don't think it'd be the same color as the body if it did. (If I find something else similar, I'll post coordinates. This one is private.)

I was struggling today with searches. Everything was do bland or "in another system" which I usually ignore.

Now I need one with a simple, flatter design...
