So, you can not have four of the same ship in a squadron… As far as I can tell, you can use the same ship once per species… So I have a Vy’Keen, Korvax, and Gek, and it rejected both a 2nd Korvax, and 2nd Vy’Keen, with the same ship… Sad…

First, you will need to have a "Dream Aerial" built, and in your inventory... Then you start pulsing around systems... It takes a while... Like, a while... But you will encounter them the sam as you encounter space anomalies, and from there, they can be recruited... First time you encounter one, it will ask you a ton of questions... Answer all of them, don't skip it... They are fairly expensive, depending on the class you find... It's a long grind, but they will bring upgrade parts for living ships back from expiditions...

In most systems they only trigger on a 3 hour timer, however I've heard certain pirate systems can always trigger a battle when you warp in, so strap a conflict scanner on and check those out till you find one :D

Every freighter will have supercharged slots based on class, just like with every ship and multitool, you can easily find capital freighters by encountering a freighter that is being attacked by either pirates or a pirate dreadnought

Found this nice looking Explorer ship thanks to a YouTube video therefore I take no credit. But for some reason, it only seemed to want to show up after you fly and land your own ship. It's in the Euclid Galaxy.

@mint granite and @surreal condor starbirth is not required for living frigates, to obtain the dream aerial send regular frigates on expeditions and the return reward may obtain one, from there you can use it once to obtain a living frigate, all living frigates after the first will not require the dream Aerial but instead just an anomaly detector, so the aerial can be deleted.

@supple quartz I'm not entirely sure, but it's dependent on whether it's an Encounter reward or a Completion one, and I'm inclined to believe it's the former. Either way, with only 5 Expeditions per day, the specific length of each is pretty negligible in the grand scheme of things.

Yes, Star Birth is not required to get the Dream Aerial... But in my current 220 hour save, sending all 5 expeditions every day, I still have not gotten a Dream Aerial from them... So doing Star Birth turned out, at least for me, a much quicker way to get it, and start my organic frigate fleet...

either you use an AI fragment if you have one already, or an echo locator or kill 5 waves of sentinels in space, echo locator will provide a location for a dissonant camp who will have a terminal you need to unlock, but then it provides infinite crash site location every time you use the terminal thereafter allowing you to farm a better ship class until you get the class you want

Can I just say that I really appreciate all the ship types are unique and not one is strictly “the best.”

I haven’t really figured out the niche for solar ships though. They seem, on paper, to be really good for cruising around a system but not jumping around like an Explorer.

I think they are good starter ship, when you have low resources, because of the pulse efficiency and recharging launch thrusters, plus they are fairly cheap to buy even an S class

They are decent all round ships in my opinion,

On my current save, have 10 exotics and 1 solar, and Im cruising around in the solar atm, and that is a 130+ hr save

Freighter warping is a viable option, there was a whole expedition, where you HAD to use freighter for warping

just downside is no freighter battles, but sometimes they can get irritating so you may want to avoid them anyway at some point

i have been trying for the last 6 hours to get a 4 slot (touching each other) supercharged ventanor frieghter. I have gotten an A class now. do i give up and take the A class and buy the upgrade? or keep trying for the S class?

you cant upgrade a freighter class, you need to buy it the class level you need

farming the class in an outlaw system will take like between 20min to a bit more time than you did if youre unlucky, and its really just based on luck, 5% spawn rate for B/A/S respectively, outside of outlaw system its even harder to find an S. tier 3 economy systems gives you 2% chance on a S appearing, while tier 2 economy will give you 1% chance, im not even sure it can spawn on tier 1 economy, but if it does, well... good luck

To deal with the 12 ship limit and collections, I have 3x saves of 12 ships each I like.. 1 has exotics as you have seen, and 2 saves have sentinel ships.

As well as that, I tend to take screenshots and glyph locations of all ships I find. Most I will post here, so if I want a specific ship I can still get the location 6months or a year later. In a few cases, others like them too and go get them, such as Thanatos and the green sentinel, which I found over 6 months ago.

I also have for a number of my favourite ships, the seed code for the ship in a notepad file, so I can add it any time I want to any save via save editor

I have 10 exotics on that save only as I only like those 10 exotic designs, my 11th is a solar and 1 I have left free

I have found and posted here over 280 exotic ship locations not to mention sentinel and fighters

by making multiple saves, i did away with the impossible task of choosing which ships to keep and which to not. It made it easier i think as 1 is mainly exotics and other 2 are all sentinels. Ive also started making basic bases at my top say favourite 5 ship places, so i can copy them to new saves via save editor and get the ships on new saves if I want too

So about restore point resetting to farm an S-class freighter

Do I restore after the battle and I board the freighter to see the score or before the battle

as in

set the restore point to pre or post battle (pre as in jsut after warping in)

you should never save after the battle, or youll loose your encounter, just enter/exit your ship everytime before warping out to a system you want to farm your freighter in, when the battle occur, do it, land on the freighter, check its stats until you take one, then you claim it and save again, if the freighter is not what you want, you can reload immediately after you checked the stats

that reload will put you back to pre warp

never load the save that will happen every 10 minutes, only the restore point where you are sure to be pre warp into that battle

Doing the above ensures that when the battle triggers in some random system, you can always reload restore point, teleport to claimed base computer, exit ship once more to update restore point and ship warp out to your target glyphs system nearby.

• A freighter battle should trigger and you will fly towards the capital ship. Upon getting close to the freighter, the game will inform you how many attackers (pirates) are present (see image link »). If there are 5, proceed. If there are 8 attackers, the exotic won't always spawn, so it is recommended you try a different system.

• You can reload restore point to search for different exotic designs through many systems, until you find a system that has both 5 attackers and the exotic design you want.

Once you decide that you want to get the current system's exotic, you have two methods you can try:

Method 1:
• Rescue the npc freighter and dock with it. You should see the ships heading towards it as well and the exotic will land shortly thereafter. You can reload restore point and rewarp back into the same system and redo the battle to respawn/reroll exotic stats.

Method 2:
• Note: Only use this method if you're certain that you'll have the units to get the ship, as exiting ship in space station will overwrite restore point save slot, removing the ability to reload to the previous system and redo the battle if you need to for some reason. Exotics go for about 40M units.

• Toggle through the friendly ships to find which one is the exotic. You will have to find the exotic by actually seeing it. (see image link »)

• Kill the pirate the exotic is focused on. Kill each pirate the exotic is focused on. If the exotic doesn't go after another pirate, follow it to the space station.

• Once the exotic is close to the station, land in the station. The exotic may fly a couple rounds around the station. Then whenever the exotic flies in, buy it.

funny thing when i did the damage dropped alot the reason its over there is because its a super charged slot and it gains like 30k damage for putty it over there lol i know weird

in short i think super charged slot defy the upgrade grouping rule

Supercharged triumphs adjacency, so in this instance if they want the absolute best for the IK that can be done in that ships SC layout. They have done it.

The question is, is using all the SC slots for IK worth it?

Just because you collected the ship it doesn’t mean it won’t be there for others, the ship will be there for other players. Be it at the same crash site or if the player locates another interceptor crash site in that system.

Also you have no obligation to share the glyphs matey, just glad you shared something for us to enjoy

If you do want to share discoveries in the future, glyphs can be found bottom left in photo mode (these glyphs allow players to travel to that specific planet/system in the galaxy that discovery is in) aswell you will need to detail the galaxy where the discovery is located (glyphs do not allow travel between galaxies) these are the main points when sharing finds, but please check out the pins for more detailed example on the ideal post.

those third party software often have options for screeshot quality / space management, usually by defaut lower quality for space improvement, can be switched in their options to have no compression at all

its the same ship all over that planet, glyphs are on the first screenshot and galaxy is Euclid as stated in my text, you can either use an AI fragment when you arrive there or an echo locator

this one was a C class so didnt bothered posting coordinates

I also have an uploaded base on that planet if you dont have any of those, you can use the dissonant terminal sitting on my base site, its on a dissonant camp
