I think those have to be seeds then, since living ships need planet cords since each design is unique per location, not planet, so if you had a save editor that's how you could use the ship seeds

I believe if you posses an unhatched void egg, it'll be one of the anomalies that becomes detectable when boosting, the ship that initiates that broadcast/mission (if you accept the it) likewise displays the appearance of the living ship to be acquired. That system would be a Coordinate.

Though assuming the first void egg has been completed/acquired you may require a living ship to iniate another run for...

I play EVE Online where that’s very much an incentive for PvP, but even that’s not worth the ammo or time you’d be spending on attacking anyone. Even in NMS, that’s a piss poor excuse given how there are so many more fulfilling things

I agree, but they do it nonetheless. It's critical for new players when forming groups to not leave the anomaly with a random to "go to a freightor or base for loot." If their serious they'll make a trip back to the anomaly afterwards. Don't leave the anomaly for loot, disable pvp, and make sure nobody can edit your base.
Its in Options & multiplayer. Use it.

Install an economy scanner on your current ship in order to see the star count of inhabited systems in the galaxy map. When you find one with three stars, warp there. Then in the system, use the economy scanner, which will locate a trade post. Ships come and go much faster at trade posts
