@winter obsidian No, when you sell a ship, it remains spawned insystem until you leave, in case it was a mistake and you wanna buy it back. There is no way an NPC can ever spawn with their own living ship, period.

You need to earn 3200 quicksilver and buy a void egg from nexus. Then the quest will be triggered.

You can get quicksilver from nexus missions, weekend missions have bonus rewards. Alternatively you can ask a friend to give you some void eggs.

t1 slots, solar system have an economy lvl (tier 1 to 3), and when a ships is generated, it's given a range of slots (tier 1 to 3)

economy help with the class of the ship, and the ship's tier help with the slots

ex : a tier 3 gek system will have a probability to generate S class cargo, and if a seed have a tier 3 slot cargo, you can get a S class cargo with a massive inventory

The easiest way is to find a planet with a lot of dissonant resonators and then farm them. You can actually tell what it will drop before destroying it, if you get close enough it will say either Inverted Mirror or Echo Locator

It's either 10 or 20% chance to find one that drops Echo Locator, I've heard both numbers but not sure which is correct.

easiest way to farm echoes is on dissonant planets in Outlaw systems, there you can just shoot the dissonance resonators (they drop the echoes and inverted mirrors) with your ship and the sentinels wont attack you

he's right, rocket launcher is a nice weapon early game when you have the photon cannon with no upgrade, but later weapons (basicaly any weapons except photon cannon) deal WAY more damage that the rocket launche

That's a set of portal coordinates. The system for the living ship quest is the same for everyone

You can get someone to help you get there pretty easily even if you don't have portal unlocked. That's how I got mine

interceptor have the highest speed in atmosphere, + they are one of the most fuel efficient ship

they also have the ability to "levitate" in atmos unlike all other ships (the utopia speeder can do this too)

Interceptors do have poor maneuverability by default, so I would suggest heavily investing in that, even putting engines on SC slots to help, makes them feel a lot better

I honestly don't know what base stats mine has, I'm using the one that had the T shaped SC cluster I posted some time ago, and putting the engines on those slots gives me 2k maneuverability which is more than enough, so it mostly just comes down to good use of tech placements to make up for that poor turning

A T1 Hauler should be 10m around that much in C class and 30-50m in S class

So I just started playing about a week ago, doing a lot of reading and catching up, early optimization was a mess for me so i sat the game aside and forgot about it until very recently. What's a good process on finding a decent ship? I see some locations dropped on glyph site but no idea how to actually find and navigate to them. You can be roped in to use a shitty frigs when you can get a lower class frigs with good stat and promote it to be better

Send it on mission frequently and it upgrade itself

So the game only generates one thruster trail per ship, though a recent mod came out that adds trails for the rest of the engines, if that's what you're talking about
