i dunno the specific measurements though. i assume that'd be relative to the creature or type of creature. we do have some pins in this channel with helpful references in Reddit on what material to use in the sequencer for size. maybe in those threads, they also discuss any sequencing limitations for size, as in how many times players sequenced till they no longer see any more change...(?)

I actually bred him two more times (erasing the one before each time) and his children got so big that they glitched through the ground😂. So I ended up having to erase his whole bloodline. Ah I haven't seen it I'm still new myself. I think you are limited though to companions that don't fly, burrow, or roll. You'd need to check though I mean you'd think the Balloon flys but it just actually floats. I still want a better look at the Massive Dragon I saw once.

Since Prisms you can also tame and ride flying companions, but only the low fliers. And what I got so far, it looks that only flying creatures added by The Prisms can be tamed. Also unlike the ground ones, you need to give directly pellet to one, as just throwing it into air doesn't make them to go to eat it.

But you can see if you can tame creature by going near it and if you see "Press e to feed the creature.", it can be tamed.

a trick you can use, wait for your egg timer to run out then make a save. then you can use the gene editor, hatch the egg to see how it changed and reload if you want to try something different

I don't know the extent to which you can splice genes, but it'd either take generations - given you'd probably want to avoid overdosing the specimen - or it's just not possible to be that selective. I have to do some more research about the whole gene-splicing thing, I usually just increase their size & behaviour and change their colours.

2. Yes, they get progressively bigger but there's a limit I think. I know for butterflies it's like 3 meters.

As for 1, I don't think that's feasible but that's where I reach the limits of my knowledge.

Its possible for the dog like bipeds to become quads through it, so its liable to reverse is true as well

And yeah, most creatures cap at 6-8 meters in height, my diplo is currently at 24 meters tall though and i cant increase it further

Its just a matter of how you want your pets to be. 4 of my 6 have max aggression, and they hunt for me occasionally and handle their own hunger so they dont need to be fed. As to size thats your call

I have a thing that looks like a leathery tiger with horns that is already large but has weird proportions

Also, pups have bigger heads

I've heard grow up time depends on species or size, can be from 24 to 48 hours

There are mods that let you get rid of pet timers - instant adult/elder pet, instant egg laying and hatching

So is it possible to "mess up" genetics? I have found almost no difference between the last few generations of dinosaurs. They all end up like this no matter what I put into the anatomy slot.

I've found that some creatures just don't develop mutations... and some creatures always mutate even if you don't put anything in the gene splitter. I'm guessing it's intended in their genetics, but it's frustrating

I'm still trying to figure out genetics. Size, personality? Easy. Colors? Gotta do some testing, trail and error. As for the actual mutations, thus far only when overdosed did I get a noticeable change. But. That mutation was carried down the entire genetic line three generations later. My most recent egg, pictured, was actually from the -original- companion without modification. Outside of colors, size and personality, it isn't any different. I can't seem to crack any pattern with this.

There is a cap to how big a certain type of creature can be, like for example the t-rex dinosaur type of creatures are capped at 5m and 200kg i think
