We couldn't see the same animal when we was on the planet the ones I saw was the normal animal on that planet and vice versa.

Pretty sure the extinct animals gliched into existence to begin with.

I'll do a run down on how it spawned - summon exocraft - run over native fauna - extinct animal appeared - got confused and scanned as this was a 1 animal planet - despawns - spend a in game day running around without luck - accidentally runs over another animal - extinct animal re appears.

The extinct fauna that I could see was not their for player 2.

Not tips really ... I had beetles on my woodenshack home base planet, so got lucky. I think planets with Cactii are a good bet for beetles, and lush planets for the butterflies. Flying fish I've only seen on lush planets too.

No. You cannot adopt biological horrors, and you cannot collect the eggs. Whispering eggs give a larval core as an item, the biological horrors are not fauna, but protectors to make sure you don’t get these valuable items.

Please bring that to #nms-modding, as that is not actually part of the companions update. Thanks!

take a very sharp knife

and make a clean cut near the back

jokes aside, if you get an egg from it you can manipulate the dna to be unstable, that might remove it, not sure tho
