Don't modify the egg from the expeditions for a different look, you lose the unique head it has. You can size, color and mess with behaviour. I haven't seen any charts for color, I did trial and error

There are multiple results on there though. Do make sure to check the galaxy when you check subredsits like NMSCE

You may also not see the creature right away. Make sure you've got Multiplayer disabled and are playing solo to reduce weird things that can happen.

Try to reload the game or fly to another area of the planet.

The look of a creature can vary between two "designs" even if with the same fauna name.

So RNG plays a factor with what you see / get in your session.

It’s a little complicated but afaik there’s typically either save editing or modding involved. Someone could gift you an egg - not sure if that’ll work and allow you to ride it, but worth asking for if you really want it.

@digital swallow To tame a worm you'll need a mod called Companion Pet Unlocker, or one similar. If someone gifts you a worm egg you can still interact with it, (feed, pet, ride, get eggs) even if you don't have the mod or are on console.

Does using the Egg Sequencer up to 10 times really work? The web seems to say use it at least 10 times.

Does it matter if the egg is ready to hatch when I use the Egg Sequencer? The web seems mixed on this, Some say only use the Egg Sequencer BEFORE the egg is ready to hatch.

@pliant zealot Doesnt matter when you use the sequencer, and the only things that can be resequenced multiple times per egg are size and behaviour, youll know youve hit the limit for either when they stop changing and say inherited instead.
