I would guess an expression was used in After Effects that replaces the actual text. To me it also appears these glyphs are all Unicode Block Elements, which makes it hard to find for specific fonts. For example some expression code here:

Even more interesting is the U+02591 (Light Shade) showing differently in the video, due to the font used and being on Mac. In the video it shows exactly like one of the glyphs, while in the source code it shows like it usually would in fonts.
So I personally believe it may actually just be a Unicode replacement for the Desolation title. Interesting glyphs were found, with pretty much most, if not all, coming from the Block Elements for whatever font was used.

the same glyphs were in some other random video and the guy said he used a mix of his own effects and stock images, so my guess would be they are just stock images that look kinda cool and alien, and they picked 10 of them because there are 10 letters in desolation

There’s also a few escape rooms have been creating online experiences because of lockdown. I done one recently where they had created full websites etc similar to Waking Titan where you had to search for clues. No real time events of course like with the ARG but something nice to work on solo
