I have the base idea down for a new community with stories and quests with custom lore for individual players and groups and events that my partner and I are writing as a progressive story. On a more serious note, selling fossils and storm crystals is pretty good. I sell storm crystals. Problem is you have to bein extreme storms so you want at least two A or S-rank environmental shield upgrades from stations.
You also get a lot from derelict freighters if you kill some pirates sometimes they drop transponders that can reveal lucrative adventures.
Blowing up supply depots on planets (The 5 tanks) is a very good quick fix.
You can farm and grow stuff as well, to make products, and sell products.
HOWEVER the best one is you buy Analysis Visor Modules and link them to your analysis visor, and you can get 120k-360k for scanning an animal and less for a plant. You need like 4 modules though. I say its the best because for the 3 seconds it takes to scan, you make a lot of money.

@summer cypress So, what do you do when the game bugs out and murders you? Like I was just leaving my base, did a normal run/Q/Jump hit a tree and got smashed into the ground and murdered.

None have happened to me yet, the only times ive had to reload were once when I fell through the floor of a derelict and couldnt move (not dying) and when I fell through the floor of a freighter (couldnt get back up, wasnt falling tho)
Also, I have max shields and health at this point, so it takes a lot of Fall damage to even break them.
I have ~80 hours on this save.
