It happened again: another save file got trashed. Now, I learned the first time it happened that I need to be making backups, and I have. the catch here is that in between the last good save and now (when I noticed my exosuit inventory was wiped out), I put in a few hours of base construction. I'd like to save the hours and build up the inventory, which I did for about 95% of the stuff in 30 mins.
HOWEVER, I had two active void eggs. They're gone.
I have an old save file I can use that has the eggs. Looking for some kind soul to meet in multiplayer, accept a trade of two eggs, wait a minute for me to load my current save with all the base stuff, and trade me the eggs back. I don't know I can offer anything of real value to veteran players for their time - I have piles of activated indium, salvaged data, platinum (for nanites), etc. ...?

Just need help on what to do first (there’s a bunch of different missions and idk what to prioritize), been trying to get rid of my beginning starship but the crashed ones require sooo much to fix and new ones are so expensive, where to build a good base, get better equipment other than rank C, things like that

@frail flint okie dokes - first things first i'd prioritise making money and building your base. The best thing I did was look for salvage modules to get a decent base built, then purchase upgrades to increase the modules you get when you find one (+5 in some cases) then sell them to make cash. If you're looking for a quick way out, I've got about $3Bn doing nothing atm, so could buy some stuff for you to sell and build you a semi-useful base......then it's all about buying/selling ships for nanites and following the campaign until you have portal coordinates to find other players planets. There's loads of good tutorials on youtube
for the basic ship, do the mission to learn how to craft a warp core, starship fuel....the rest you can get via tritium in asteroids

I waited until I got like 70 salvage modules then got all the space looking base blueprints (so far I’ve only built one round room and a ramp leading to it), but Idk if I should build more if I’m just going to leave the system soon. Where do I get the upgrade for more modules? I’ve watched a few tutorials on YouTube but it was about selling ionized cobalt and chlorine in bulk. So far in the story, I recently unlocked the space anomaly and talked to everyone there

yeah you can spend them on base upgrades from the anomaly - but most of the useful stuff you can get already from blueprints from your base computer (If I remember correctly): solar panels, batteries
teleporter, storage containers 0-9 are a godsend
if you have extra to spend get a large refiner - it doesn't use any power and you can add oxygen to bulk up certain things (look up recipes online)

Also look out for a free freighter. If you spend 3 hours in any system, make a manual save, then warp to any outer system and you'll trigger a procerdurally generated space battle. When upon defeating the pirates (kit out your ship to make it badass to make this easy) you'll be offered a free freighter as a reward. This only happens for your first freighter, so keep refreshing your save and jumping to a different system (wealthy systems have better freighters - economy scanner is needed), unless you make your billions like I did crashing the market with Cobalt and don't care ;-P
ok, are you on PC? I can help with getting the wiring - you just need to hit Z (I think, and navigate using keys to the power-> wiring menu, then you can connect wires from the battery to solar, to the thing you want to power

but not to a specific freighter

@quiet remnant traveller, if you don't want to deal with that sort of issues, just turn multiplayer off, farm the units and buy EBRs to farm derelict freighters. you'll save yourself from getting frustrated, annoyed, etc
