It all depends on how you use it. I have both and like them both equally. My fighter has far better maneuverability than my living ship. However my living ship I don't have to carry as much on board as it can heal it's self in battle

if you use the laser gun on the ship it heals your shields. after i installed that i never lost a single part ever again. or even got close to low shields
