Tradable items in general, to other players? Void eggs, or unique and interesting companion eggs, and any inventory expansion items are usually appreciated. Things that can be refined into nanites, like tainted metal, runaway mold, hadal cores, etc. If I could trade you the trails, I would, I just don't see a way 😦

im not even sure what expeditions they're from. i didnt finish the permadeath. but i just had some resources i wanted to transfer over and some ships. One save i glitched out the reward chest, and have like 80000+ activated cadmium indium and emeral

Ok. So what you want to do is get the encounter. Don't save from there and go back to the point you had before the encounter. Then, portal to the place you want to go that has the intended freighter. Warp over to an uninhabited system nearby and then warp back to the system you portaled to originally. For me (on PC), this method worked and granted me my freighter.

I don't know...I think it's a difficult topic as it's definetpy abusing game mechanics bit at the same time I can't say I enjoyed farming frigate modules and farming freighters in pirate Systems for hours doesn't seem like an intended mechanic to me either...but if it prevents people from giftig me literally hundred of freighter augmentations...such things are nice to a degree but these people give away way too much so I end up scrapping them to still have fun in this game

I feel like they’re more common in regular systems, but yeah... they’re less available from freighters than they used to be, I believe. Not a difficult grind to get done early on, since smuggling/pirating makes so much money. “Salvaged data” in general (frigate or regular) is one of the more grind intensive items in the game, next to anomaly detectors IMO

Someone in the help section that knows alot says as far as they know it hasn't been changed.

Fixed an issue that caused your previously owned ship to be available to reclaim for free after exchanging it with an NPC for their ship. <-- from the most recent update

but you can still do a trade with another player being able to get it from the npc for free

it's only if you try to reclaim it yourself for free that you cannot now

I would assume the former was a bug but not the latter, and that makes sense that it would be patched out.

I think the "trade" mechanism is, well, not a bug exactly but an unintended side effect

in other words, use it now, don't count on it being there forever

I decided to join a commune of players and they all abandoned me and took my shit (in expedition) then I tried to do it myself and failed miserably and just as I was about to finish ONE part of the expedition I was brutally destroyed by network limitations

Start a new game it’s all set up and there is a bunch of other people you do missions and get stuff if you do enough of it you get cool stuff for your ACTUAL game if you manage to get all of the cool stuff you get the extra cool item that can never be gotten again
