well, i did after a couple hours of rerolling manage to replace my 3 s class modules with slight upgrades, so that combined with the new gun and slots im sitting at 21k dmg on the bolt caster........ it may be more worthwhile for me to setup a summoner farm and farm glass for a few hours at this point

since my sentinel weapon upgrades are pretty bad

easiest way starting out, goto the vendor on the left side of the station, and get distress beacon maps

gimme a sec so i can hop to a station and get an exact name so you dont trade for the wrong thing

anyway, so the big thing dooku, when your spamming navigation charts at the beginning, keep using them until you have a distress signal, once you fill up the other available slots in the pool, IE crashed freighters, observatory's etc, you will only be getting distress signals at that point, at that point, you may need to use a chart 4-5 times before it will pop up another distress signal, but it wont actually use one up until it pops out another signal

so go down, repair the pulse drive and the launcher only, take it back upto the station, salvage it, sell off the parts, grab some more navigation data from tables, and run it again

keeping in mind when you salvage the ship, it will give you items that you need to sell for the units, not straight units

it will also give you modules you can sell to the module vendors for nanites

I'd recommend selling all the modules to the vendors at the early stage to start building those up

keeping in mind, if you install the module and take it off, the value drops to like 5% of what it was

hope all that helps, thats what i started off with just a couple weeks ago and it was great, i lucked out and managed to get an s class ship in just a couple of hours of starting, and I've had it since as my main ship, not seen any other s classes since but havent really been looking either lol 😄

You can also just not fix anything, and use the anomaly or a freighter to swap to the broken ship, then use a teleporter to go to a station

keeping in mind you can find s class crashed ships, and even exotics, wether or not its worth repairing them...... thats a call you have to make, at that time it wasnt worth the trouble to me to keep the s class shuttle i found, repairing that wouldve been a pita

it gets alot faster dooku, its a matter of scaling, once you get a decent dmg weapon, you can farm nanite from sentinels, or you can farm nanite from curious depsoits, there are many ways to make nanites, and salvaging ships is actually a decent way as well

you do that for a couple of hours, having everything ready to repair downed ships so youve only got a couple minute turn around, youll make a ton of nanites and probably 40-50 mill easily

hard to say how many nanites youd make but youd probably be in the 10kish range?

Ship scrapping and selling the upgrade modules can be pretty good for nanites.
The spawn rates for A class in tier 3 econs is 28%, so that's where I'd head.
If you get a busy station it adds up quick, and you'll get some storage augs too.

You'll need a decent bankroll however, and it's best to have a a couple free ship slots

There are several ways to get them, and they all have a low % of dropping. Let me find the wiki page. Also sent you a DM.

One of the easiest ways to find Salvaged Frigate Modules is by destroying Cargo Pods on Freighters and Frigates. You’ll find plenty of Frigates flying around their associated Freighters, and all you need to do is get close enough to inspect the contents of the Cargo Pod. In this way you can check whether it has any modules, and only shoot those which do, thereby reducing the amount of fighting necessary. If things get too hot, you can always land at a nearby space station until you’re no longer being hunted, or travel to a new system to check for Frigates there.
