Hi I saw ur message and was wondering what is a faction/guild/civilisation in this game and how does it work/what are the benefits of joining one

So you can see the #archived-nms-communities for each civilisations/factions/clans/guilds specific info and relation to the game.

But NMS Communities are multiplayer made Communities made up of lots of players that wish to bring in a new element of Multiplayer content each faction and as a Community, makes themselves to add into the Sandbox of NMS. Whilst No Man's Sky supports multiplayer, it does so in a very simple fashion and doesn't really have a system for Communities ingame; thus many of the Community result to making their own factions, own content, and own events. Most of the Communities all come together to host and partake in Community built events, such as the Galactic Games, PVP tournaments, racing, trade, exploration, protection, building, streaming, or simply playing around in the game!

Communities tend to each offer their own form of content, whether they are a trade focused guild, with the aim to try and trade and bring highly valuable resources to different players; others are keen explorers, travelling to document the Galaxy, many have some background lore for themselves, as other have great utility uses like the StarCabs, that help to ferry players across the Universe, Co-ordinate exchange, that give the co-ordinates of different ships, planets, systems, multi-tools etc etc.

Factions like the one I herald from, the Indominus Legion, like to focus the more Empire-like individual faction/hub aesthetic, we offer something for everyone as we expand across many systems from our CAPITAL Star System, engage in PVP tournaments, Trade expansion, and multiple Community events that are held by the numerous factions.

The NMS Community is PURELY Community built and is such a VAST and expanding area of No Man's Sky with a lot to offer players looking for their multiplayer, or just a new experience.

Late game players rarely need anything. When someone insists on bartering with me, I tell them to go buy a Box Thruster Fighter or Horza Tip Solar, upgrade its class once (from C to B is fine), strip it down to base tech, and give me screenshots of both stats and Glyphs for its location - reloading to refund the units + nanites afterwards is encouraged. Very few players bother to scout stats, so I'll happily take that information in payment.

all of those items are pretty easy to get, except the pulsationg core blueprint you get from the void egg starbirth missions. and you can refine residual goop into living slime, then into viscousfluids

2. Complete a expedition and sometimes they have eggs as rewards
