I think Photomode Gallery works better with this, it’s still technically an art channel because photography is, after all, an art! I think they might be separate because there’s way more people sharing photos than drawings
But I think if you edit the photo in a separate program and it’s clear you have, then maybe you can post here? I don’t rightfully remember since it’s been a while since I last did that (someone with more info than me is more than welcome to correct me on that)

I don’t post very often in this channel at all and it’s usually asking if something g I had built in game could be considered NMSArt, because I design spaces for a living, so I build things that actually have design instead of just look cool 🤣

But I agree with your sentiment here like photo mode gallery etc. I don’t edit outside the game or anything, just build cool story pieces or images that tell a story themselves, I wrote a whole short story about that picture 🤣 the game can be very inspiring if your open to it.

A few months ago I dreamt I was playing NMS and they added a new biome called low gravity worlds with really tall plants and stuff on it. There was this huge flora native to these planets, that you had to jetpack up to to harvest. The resource was called Thallium or Tallium (because the plants are tall haha). Anyways I doodled that

She is! And Maisy is Japanese, and Alisa is American (Italian/Russian, and all of them from their respective countries). I’m trying to practice with drawing different face shapes, especially as they vary by race. Plus, all 8 characters are from different regions of the world or have ancestry from different regions, so there’s lots of variety!

This is one of the things i will be noting for my "Buildable Space Stations" idea. I imagine that being able to turn an Abandoned Station into a player-owned one using an AtlasPass v3, a Station Override, and 1500 Chromatic Metal would be awesome. With base building options for things like Trading Specialists(Multi-Tool, Exocraft, etc.), Decorations, Walkways, and Technology (such as teleport pads, landing pads, corvette stations, trade terminals, maybe even new buildings such as how there are freighter-exclusive builds). I imagine it working like a combination of a Settlement and a Base. You would have station upkeep and hired workers, and each employee having a minimum and maximum Reputation (Scrap Dealer requiring a low rep, Mission Agent requiring high rep, and Contraband Agent requiring negative rep, for example)

i would not recommend starting with a grid that large start with faces at a 32x32, 64x64 or even 128x128 (start low and slowly increase) practicing getting as much detail as possible without cluttering the art in each level (as you go up youll have more room to add detail without distracting from the main piece i suggest faces because they are a good thing to practice detail with especially if you use hoodies or long brim hats to practice texture and shading you can even practice with scars as you go even higher with the resolution)

the characters themselves also dont need to be large the full body sprites i made are only 54x78 with the headshots only being 45x38 the only reason my grid is 1024x1024 is because theres so many full body and headshots in it (the size i used would usually be used for a background not a main body sprite)

Thanks, my first attempt was on a smaller grid and I quickly realized increasing it would add to the detail. Ultimately I would like to animate them and life goal makes a pixel art game. Using Huntdown game as a benchmark I was curious what their grid. These Gadot tutorials only tell you so much. Thanks again for the tips

Was able to get off work early today, and I then spent the next six hours (from 3 to nearly 10 pm lol) working on one of the alien species for my sci fi story lol
Still working on a name, but that first image is about what I want one of the species races to look like (will be working on other variants at some point!) I also make a lot of programs and I love art I actually made this with a mathematical formula inside of Python and then I even took the step further and it actually rotates with different layers to music so it looks like it moves to the music and it's just fractal mathematics and it looks beautiful I figured I'd share this in the art section too but pure math and it's seven different layers and only primary colors just shifting and you can make a lot of beautiful things

I don't know if you can run python but I'm pretty sure I can find this program and it's just copy paste as long as you got the right libs installed in the right viewer it's all free too You can actually use a program and if you have a microphone set up whatever music or anything it'll go along to it It's pretty cool cuz it gets three-dimensional shapes just with layers of fractals and you get so many different colors but just red green blue 😅 My bad I'll start rambling about math and art 😂
