I remember playing Empyrion. I could not get over how bad the controls felt playing it. Animations for every single thing in the game feel like placeholders. The rendering was jank and in large part thanks to the way areas are generated, nothing felt purposeful, in spite of there being deliberate placements. AI was incredibly simple. I can't hate on it too much though because A) I didn't "finish" the game..(is there even an end? The story is garbage) and B) Different stroke for different folk.

For all they updated, their trailers still promote the same game I came to know and not love. For those that love the game, this is great news. If they hoped to get more people to love the game though, I suspect this update did nothing

I hope the game is fantastic. I'd rather eat a pizza with my time and money than play it again, based on this promotion.

If that seems like I'm shitting on the game, I hope not. It's just not a game I felt comfortable playing. It gives off a "never left early access" vibe, from the start.
