I don't believe for a second that NMS's post launch recovery was planned. Hello Games poured their heart and souls into dragging that game out of millions of negative reviews, some assuredly with the full expectation that there was nothing they could do to fix what was broken - even if they honored their original claims. The market of games is often toxic where advertising is a concern, because shitting on things is trendy!

So going the NMS route does not make sense to me.

It was less a route and more of a....roll down the hill until you stop

It was heart warming to see Sean wandering empty offices during the pandemic

i did try to make everything that spawns 2-3x smaller but it didnt work because it is all scaled in such a weird way

shrinking one thing makes everything else smaller

and making the player smaller doesnt reflect because u show up at same size as the ship no matter how small u become

so only way is to make the worlds bigger

Big things mod and stuff like that do a fairly good job or at least did in the older versions
