isn't Creation engine?
Creation is the same thing
oh
Its 78 percent new engine assets though
So really more of a engine built on a engine at this point
i know creation engine, didn’t know it was called gamebreyo
It's why fallout 3 and Skyrim have many of the same bugs
(And why starfield and fallout 3 might)
i’ll still enjoy it idc about the majority of bugs i’ve experienced
worst one was FO3 or NV when the frame rate was like 1 frame per 20 seconds
on ps3
never played NV, but i heard it was very, very buggy at release
every bethesda game has a community patch lol
oh yeah
Except 76. And that's why it remains so bad.
Itll probably be a while tell its playable for me
I never really played that one
I swear their QA department is some random intern and they've been able to rely on the modder community to fix their games
Actually he was a pick up from riot
Lol
GAH, why do I know so many devs and stuff
I need a life
not a bad thing
Sigh * grumbles*
I think Im really glad I dont get to test bethesda games
It would ruin it for me
Thats one of the few companies I havent done QA for
I would never want to play test a lot of these games
I've heard QA is pretty crummy
same
Palia is a blast to test, love that team so much
It will suck the fun out of playing video games for me
Subnautica is one game I am very glad I had very little knowledge of when I jumped in to play because it Ended up being one of the biggest surprises
I have seen the Starfield video
you like?
I believe I'll be playing that game from now on, thank you.
yep same
LOL
NMS is great but it's time for new devs to take the genre and improve on it
And tbh, I dont care if it turns out that most of the planets in Starfield are rocky or dead planets
I'm gonna explore every single one.
Ill be out around rocky rings mining them up around gas giants
collect grass
because man i love doing that
The trailer is scratching my itches
Whatd yall think of stqrfield
ever played Elite? mining in that game is so zen
I doubt it'll have it, but I really hope we'll get some form of E:D asteroid cracking.
YES! I mined a ton in ED
what’s starfield
Goddamn is that satisfying
rings are so pretty
Great memories
It really remibds me of no mans sky but boring idk
Thats why when people say gas giants are pointless in NMS I want to gouge there eyes out
You would enjoy X4 Foundations. mining in that game is insane
hehe, one mans boring is another mans gold Vian
I never understood why people say gas giants would not be interesting in no man’s sky, it’s a lack of imagination. I could think of so many different ways to make exploration great in gas giants
Gas giants would be a great source of deuterium
wtf is vian?
i want to try X4, but it looks so complex. It scares me lol
X4 is super complex and worth every minute of it
And after playing DSP, I can say that gas giants would be great in NMS.
Its also a sense of scale
I just like the beauty they provide
Of course, giving NMS's engine, I dont know how hard it would be to add them
Plus with gas giants youd need a rescale
refactoring space speeds for pulse drive
So on
I guess some of the devs felt the factoring for large space systems felt to sluggish early on
I get it, they took another route
thats why im not mad
Every game has different approaches
Who needs a gas giant when you can just have a nebula
Make it shaped like a bubble. Gas giant achieved
Something I still gotta keep in mind with Starfield: that showcase definitely looked like showcase gameplay, and not indicative of a final product.
mini nebulas
i’m ok if graphics take a hit
The HUD will likely look a bit different
oh yeah
Hrmm, same
i Think the hud will be inspired by the watch concept art they’ve been posting
the hood
I mean Im pretty sure my computer could run it
But you know not everyone has that kind of pc
Hrmm, Im thinking of selling my 5700xt and getting a 7000
If not a better GPU... then I guess another Series X
IF im not homeless by then
With the way things have been the last year, no certainty Ill even have a roof over my head by then. Let alone internet or a job
thats a shame to hear
Eh, it is what it is, it putting game into perspective
Simply get rid of inclement weather and you wont need a roof
hehe
Well at this point Im in a trailer until I can bounce back. Which is why Im playing a lot of nms
I cant download a lot of games on rural internet
Anyways
Yeah, starfield looks fun, hoping i get to try it
you shall bounce forth Sir Lee
That will never happen
nooooooo
Procedural generation
It definitely isn't everything to do, so yes lmao
ban ceryn
Procedural generation has nothing to do with it
Factorio is procedurally generated
Dyson Sphere Program is procedurally generated
The game is designed to unengage areas not actively interacting with a user
Base building is possible in NMS, which means factory building is possible
That's how they get away with 18 quintillion planets
We already have the first step into it with mining depots
So you don't care if it's animated or anything. You just want numbers crunching and something resulting?
I mean
It literally can be animated. Do you play any factory games? There's a lot of examples.
I've seen several factory games. I've crashed my computer with them, too.
I'm just wondering if you're worried at all about asset management where rendering could become a concern.
With the bases I've seen, not at all.
And there's always workarounds.
If a conveyor system is used, you'd simply use the same type of "pipe" system we have the with the mining depots already. Something closed, where the products/resources arent visible. It might cut away the ability to sushi belt or something similar, but its not a big deal.
Sushi belting is a weird thing people do in factory games where that have a ton of different resources/products on the same belt and have various manufacturing facilities pull what they need from it
Sounds like something amazon does
The crazy robot factory floor for SAP integrated amazon picking is insane
Would love to see it in person tbh
best I can do is a youtube video
Check out what is inside Amazon's warehouse!

thats a lotta yellow
Man
At a glance, it looks incredibly disorganized
I hate it
I know the process is done by the robots but
ew
The robots change the organization of the shop floor based on needs based picking
So if there's an item becoming super popular, the floor organizes those items near the outside for faster picking
there's a human involved dw
they got ran over and smushed into the wheels
watching the starfield bit, looks like they might have an actual vehicle system
instead of reskinned horses
the ship is actually a hat and theres a giant human thats flying
classic bethesda
I mean they made a train that was a person wearing a hat so nothing would surprise me completely
Can't wait to see the 12 minute Starfield speedruns because of horse vehicle glitch
I wonder if this time they actually have something resembling a reasonable progression system.
looks like theres skill trees
Yup
ugh, I want to play NMS so bad, starfield made it worse
Stupid naming bug, i cant play for over a week now
Hmm finally NMS and Star Citizen have a new competitor
Batman Arkham Knights
lego batman 3 is in space
Can it be saved by a save edit?
Youtube has a serious problem with copyright and their youtube shorts bs has only made it more complicated with creators who haven't already jumped on the ball to make their own
It has a serious problem with not punishing false claims, yes
Huh
I never thought of that Ghost
can you save edit world names?!
Oh lord I need to know
I dont even care if the world names show up on other peoples pcs
I just need them for my storyboard
1, the 2 duology, the side games!?
-.-
persona 3, 4 and 5
all
Well...The ones that are worth playing Kappa
?
persona takes 5 years anyway to 100%
Being himself, presumably
Lmao i bought persona 5 for PS4 like years and years ago and i still never played it
I was gonna but then life happened
and i keep forgetting i have it
1 and 2s are more traditional RPGs
The dancing/etrian games getting ported, by any chance?
Very, evidently
Im sad
Apparently save edit doesnt allow planet name edits ghost
Hehehe
honestly, I thought the same thing with the mining laser
I like that the terrains are more fantastic realism, versus just pure fantasy
Not to say I dont love NMS for its fantasy
on the surface yeah
WOOOWWW
they were definitely inspired by NMS fr
buuut
TODDS SKY
this is a bethesda game. It will most likely follow the same pattern as fallout or skyrim
I don't personally take offense to it
but I can definitely see the insipiration
toddy boy
it's gonna be fallout but this time in space
quite
with space artifacts
the worlds are gonna be handcrafted I think, for the most part.
All 1000 of them? I think not.
i just want tes6 imma say it again
I bet its going to have an extremelly satisfactory gameplay loop like fallout/skyrim and the most bland mundane paint by numbers plot possible
the main ones I think. The ones that matter
yeah... space artifacts
the launch bugs are going to be hilarious, probably
have fun with that
no you see, they give you visions, which isn't something that has been done before
lol
how old is mass effect again
My guess is that it'll be mostly if not entirely procedurally generated landscape, with hand placed stuff in some places. I'm guessing there will be more bare rocks, gas giants, etc. vs. NMS's life-is-everywhere.
what's a visions and why does it sound like rwby
idk cant wait though
about as old as some of the people here probably
2008
ouch.
Also moo, I dont remember where I saw, but it was about 80ish percent proc and the rest hand
So thats still a lot of hand made stuff lol
quite sometime ago
I gota say whoeever did the terrain gen did a good job
god at this point I hope it's proc
wouldn't visit the type of crunch it'd take to do it manually on my worst enemy
1k is fine enough
I hope you can poop in starfield
Is that too much to ask?
It doesn't need to be graphic...or even visible.
The Sims
Not the "Scum" kind of poop.
Ark intensifies
Am I the only one who gets fallout vibes from starfield combat
Tbh it majorly reminded me of Halo
More than it did of fallout
The fast pace and grenade throwing
I like halo and I miss playing it . But I’m not near as excited as starfield now
It seemed like they combined Skyrim/Fallout with Halo and No Man’s Sky
The combat is terrible from the trailer lol
Enemies dismiss him as a threat and the combat is weak
However they did impress me another way
Yeah, admittedly the combat is the least exciting part for me right now.
Maybe they just had it on Very Easy mode for the trailer or something
The way the creature responded to a gun drawn onto them , they dismissed him as a threat and went on . That is a great mechanic .. but combat against enemies from what we see so far , not impressed IMO
And I suppose it’s also in the beginning of the game so maybe they’re meant to be easier at that point
Also my biggest question , can we maneuver our ship like in no man’s sky or is it a cut scene
Possibly the difficulty or they are meant to be there as a tutorial
Yes you can. I’m not sure if you saw all the footage based on that comment:
There’s lots of space battle footage
I didn’t see much of it , I wasn’t sure if you can free fly or fly around on or off planets
Yeah, you can free fly
Wdym by “off” ships?
Like exit in your suit while in space?
Idk if you can do that but if you can then wow that’d be next-level as an amazing addition
My bad was a typo, I meant off planets
It also showed docking your ship to other space structures/ships.
I do like how the creatures respond to threats , just not how human entities respond
Yeah I’m thinking about making a review for my channel . I wanna find a few extra videos lol
Like, attaching your ship to another structure in space of some kind. Maybe another ship or space station.
So, actual thoughts on starfield besides it being Todd’s version of NMS
I mean...I’ll play it but...
Yeah. I didn’t catch that it actually responded to the gun in the video. What I took from it was “Oh, don’t judge a book by its cover. Guess that creature was neutral and doesn’t attack unless provoked.”
It looks kinda bland?
Disappointing
The weapons are bland . Now I do dislike over futuristic weapons but it was bland
We still haven’t seen much but I imagine that was a very strong basis of the game
It has a lot of nuances in terms of abilities and starting strengths/weaknesses so that’ll be interesting. I’m sure there’s going to be a lot to it compared to what we were shown.
Idk if I wanna compare it to nms on my channel but my channel revolves around nms
I wonder how space flight is gonna be. Bethesda can barely do horses
I really hope the dialogue is good lol
And they are going from horses to fucking space combat
I mean, they did mine-beam iron (Fe)….
The wagons in Skyrim fly 😂
That was very similar and the robotic pet
ah so they have experience lmaooo
Too bad there’s no Skyrim magic in space :(
I believe this game can be comparable to No man’s sky a little bit
Fus ro da
I’m personally a little excited but not as excited as I was before the video . It was the combat mechanic that killed me xD
I may go ahead and produce my opinions on the game for content , but they will not be anything but honesty 😂
I do like the faction concept tho
There’s a lot to compare tbh:
Landing anywhere you want on unique planets, alien life, mining beams, base building, ship customization, space battles….
I can’t think of any other space games that does all that
I’m hyped* about everything about the game except the battling lol
I’m curious about the flying
Can’t remember how much Elite Dangerous lets you do out of all those. I don’t own it nor Star Citizen.
I’ve never played that one , there are quite a few I’m missing out on playing right now
I see 1,000 planets being viewed as a negative thing but I can't help but see 1,000 planets to give an opportunity to build new bases/colonies.
that’s still a thousand planets we will never fully explore
It really makes me wonder if they’ll bring in multiplayer this time
That’s still huge but I find the galaxy map to be bland in starfield
Or the solar system map
Probably not .. it’s a Bethesda game , the lag is bad
Eh, I’m fine with a function-over-beauty map but yeah, compered to the NMS map every current game’s solar system map is probably bland lol.
So much color in the NMS one
Yeah NMS is more of a cartoon feel unlike Starfield where it’s more “real and dangerous”
Curious how much they’re planning on changing between now and release
Maybe not much , I’m sure it’s developed quite a bit
Maybe bugs and cosmetics .. but I’m not a developer so idk
Slightly disappointed they don’t have space wizards/magic lol. Didn’t expect it at all whatsoever but adds to the battling variety
See I don’t know if everything in this game is Dull like a filter
Skyrim has so much battling options/diversity
I don’t think any game will have the “same color” as NMS lol
NMS color is very……….
“80’s?”
Retro
Or something
yeah every Planet is a new pallet of colors

Starfield is possibly just very washed out and grey ? The moon seemed that way and the characters
Did you see the clip of all the various planets/terrains/biomes toward the end of the showcase?
I like how everyone is judging this trailer this hard and it’s just over 10 minutes 😂
I didn’t, it’s in the video ?
I’ll post the link to the video I saw. It was toward the end.

Okay it may be Bethesda official code on YouTube
Yess thank you!
I’ll skip to the last 3-4 minutes
Yeah it does seem to get better
Yeah. There’s a lot of aspects going on to focus on. As long as combat is challenging and/or has enough variety then I think it’s easily a winner
When I get really hyped for something I get to the point of “Whelp, all I have to do is stay alive until it releases. What do I do in the meantime….hmmm.”
Currently I just keep switching between games not really finding one I’m happy with.
Yeah I’ve been there . Right now I’m starting work soon , so I might not have as much time as I thought to play starfield when it comes out lol
Yeah……my first baby is due around then so…..
What’s the release date of starfield ? Isn’t is November of 2022?
No, early 2023
So we both aren’t gonna be playing 😂
That’s still okay
It used to be Nov 2022 like you said or something but was delayed.
Have a good time at work!
Oh wait
My brain forgot that you weren’t talking about how for a sec
Well have a good time at work forever from now regardless! Lol
Good luck with your new child! I hope everything goes well with these prices and everything.
I am happy it was delayed , it may have needed some more work lol
Prices?
And thanks!
Oh okay. Wasn’t sure if that’s what you meant.
Yeah I wasn’t sure if people are allowed to talk about that kinda stuff here 😂
I’m sure we’ll make it work out somehow
Eh, I’m sure it’s fine so long as we don’t get political
And so long as it doesn’t take up the whole channel’s convo
Yeah we don’t want it to take up too much room , I’ve had a really good chat! I hope everything goes well
See you around!
I love you
I'm really looking forward to this! Looooved Cloudpunk 🚙

starfield....ugly no man's sky, which is saying something lol
INTERNET Fight fight fight fight fight fight fight
i just don't like the art direction lol
Fair enough but I wouldn’t say it’s ugly
it's moody and unsaturated and realistic and it just feels like a shame not to make anything more colorful with 1000 actually maybe cool planets
We’ve seen a small snippet of the game so there could be colorful planets
We have seen a moon.
We need an Epic Battle Simulator but with space ships, but instead of the spaceships being single minded systems, they're controlled by dozens of NPCs that can all be individually screwed over, making the simulator more simian than ever.
Same. Looks neat
My expectations are already at the standard Bethesda game with it. You bet there's gonna be bugs
Aye, also same - no preorder here
But still, I enjoyed almost every Bethesda game I've played
I just hope these 1000+ planets aren't gonna be smol
A lotta room for creativity
For sure, I'm looking forward to it
No doubt we'll get Thomas the Tank Engine spaceships in days of release
Modular Thomas
Lmao, yes
I find it remarkable that the people talking shit about it seem to be randoms that never speak otherwise
1,000 planets gives a nice choice of places to build bases/colonies though.
Was always gunna be this way tbh.
Happens with all social media really. There will always be shit to spread and money to be made doing it.
What i find hilarious is the Playstation folks hating on it
I get that its an Xbox/PC exclusive but thats no reason to start saying "horizon forbidden west graphics better, this game is trash"
I don't like exclusivity, but I really hate fanning over a specific console more
Probably held a small shimmer of hope that it would be extended to PS as it was announced pre Microsoft buyout.
Now realisation has set in that it's not how it be.
Itd be nice if it did come to Playstation was well imo
Just like itd be nice if the new Horizon also came to Xbox
I like the idea of everyone being able to enjoy the game idunno
Don’t forget the modded planets too
This song plays on Dragon Roost Island in Wind Waker. Enjoy.
Y'er welcome
ok
here are some planets https://i.redd.it/4bitx4ymo8591.jpg
its going to need a lot of enb/post procesing to make it look alive/vibrant
Joe danger 2: the movie is in the new ps+ premium subscription
https://youtu.be/ZHZOTFMyMyM?t=377 also at this time stamp, the textures look like they dont have any parallax mapping, which is why they look so outdated/flat
Bethesda's long awaited intergalactic RPG finally gets a gameplay reveal. We get a look at in-game environments, gunplay, characters, a glimpse of its story, and its in-depth character creator, including specific body trais, and even how you walk. Starfield is expected to release in 2023.
#starfield #xbox #summergamefest
Oh yea xbox showcase happened
Cool ig
There wasn't really as much hype around game reveals like that since e3 died
nothing really good except the forza dlc , halo ship in flight sim and starfield reveal
Ngl starfield looks like my dream game
And personally I'm happy with the more bleak visual style, it sets it apart from their other games
And other space games too
other than the bleak style, i am ok with everything else
its supposed to be space, full of hope and stuff
not dreary like this
it needs a lot more vibrant shading
but this is an issue with all bethesda games
the community does a good job of making enbs to fix it

Fortunately starfield is going to be like skyrim. Reshades galor
Although, I like the more bleak colors. Space is desperate, scary, dangerous and stoic
In my opinion
space is also hope and all that stuff
the unknown
We have very different feelings then
yes and hopefully enb/shaders fixes those feelings
and only other complaint is the NPCs looked weird
their animations
Not to say I wouldnt like some mad house colorful jungle
they looked all uncanny
Space tends to be jarringly vibrant and dull
Yeah, I can't agree it's a bit dated
I mean I can
Overall I love the terrains
Curious if they support fsr. It sure helped me run nms on ultra.
I have draw distance to the horizon now lol
i just dont want it ending up like nms/cyberpunk
if it fails only sq42 will be left lol
Well for me nms is as far from a failure as possible
I also love moded cyberpunk
Hrmm.. I just tend to be very flexible with what I like
Now if you mean skip a bad release, yeah right
This is a complex release, it will be borked
bugs are ok, just no stuff where todd says something and its not at all in the game
Funny thing with nms was I knew what would be in it, so I was happy
I can tell what's possible and not at release, to much qa work
i didnt, i thought it will have lot to explore and stuff
Maybe that's why I'm easier to please, I see things differently
I sure didnt expect complexity tell post release
I knew the type of engine they used would take foever to mature, with the team they had
Same with starfield, I expect 3 years for it to mature
Minimum
Yes but its will take more
and its TODD
Post and pre maturity are unavoidable
In time, 6 years
because nms is too deep to make any big changes anymore
As games increase complexity, they will grow in time for maturity. So in say 5 years, those games will take longer, per scale
Ad infinitum
nah lot of processes are also more streamlined in development
like these days shadows dont have to be baked, which saves like several hours for each game model
same for lighting
with rTX no more creating texture maps etc
That's not what demonstrate scale prove, tools will improve but not at scale
The maturity scale rarely decreases and over time always increases despite discrepancies
That's factually probable
Starfield looks like a actually promised star citizen
Now will it deliver
I have no clue
But it looks pretty cool
The world's look really vibrant and lived in
We will see. I'm hoping
yessssssssssssss

Will nms die after the release of starfeild?
I always stop using my current car when new cars come out.
You must be richhhhhh.
Just sarcastic
When you're in your car, do you feel safest of all?
I mean, you can lock all your doors
Its the only way to live
sees ship customization in starfield
sheds a tear
Gunna be so many dick ships. 😌
for me
@primal loom @idle saffron we need to play again 👀 👉👈
For the life of me I can't find a solid gif of that Dr Evil spaceship
At least, one thats sfw

Starfield will have a silent protagonist 😮
good
Means we miss out on gems like this though
"Over 100 systems. Over 1000 planets. All open for you to explore."
I'm guessing it'll be up to 50 unique planets and 950 palette swaps
Tbh silents better than having a voice you may not like
100%
Yeah i wonder how much time they've devoted to the diversity of the planets
This is the question - how much dev time has actually been invested in variety. And, we won't know the answer to that until the review embargo lifts
in 2023
one way or the other, it should be enough to keep me invested for at least as long as I've put into their previous titles. Don't need an endless exploration game from them
true. skyrim was plenty big, even if they did only have like, 3-4 different dungeons
I'm hoping most are mundane worlds. Someone on pcgamer wrote a article nailing my sentiment
That's not to say I can't appreciate well done mundane worlds
However empty tranquil worlds can be so cathartic
Probably why I love deserts
i like the simplicity factor sometimes. I don't mind if a lot of them are barren, but mixed with subtle variation, like an outpost or a rare flora/fauna
be interesting to see how big they make the planets
whether they let you (theoreticllay) explore the whole thing
can't imagine they'd be to scale
or if it's just small maps
i think it's the entire planet
then the special zones, like hubs and hand crafted locations
They stated all points on a world can be la ded on
So they are globes
The size.. who knows
Flat earthers gonna hate Starfield
flat earthers hate all space games
Yes, isnt it lovely
bUt WiLl It HaVe OrBiTaL mEcHaNiCs
No, because orbital mechanics aren't fun
Go play KSP
DSP?
Dyson Sphere Program
ah, that's kinda psuedo orbital mechanics
No u
Lol they made a vr flat earth test thT actually had some flat earthers having panic. Attacks
I find them well rounded
Lmao ffs
Sorta hilarious as they could see what a flat earth would look like and why what we see is a observable sphere
Anywho, I really was impressed with the number of ground props I saw in starfield
Way more then nms
Plus more comes terrain
Wonder if there'll be a black hole
seems like that would be a good story beat
Nothing like an inescapable massive force of gravity to scare the shit out of you
👌
Thats a strong ship
If it holds everything together up until you step outside of it.

Google says you'd only need 100x stronger gravity than earth
or a high pressure planet where you step out of the shield bubble and you're crushed to the size of a cheeto
Crawl inside the ||ear||hole of a passing creature.

watching the trailer again, the bit with the insects is a bit janky
their walk isn't quite right
dust clouds look off too
The animations were a little off yeah.
hopefully gets some polish approaching release
Still got roughly a year
Pretty sure that's why the delay, game is done, all polishing now.
Didn't see any fields filled with stars tbh.
I only got one personal "want" with Starfield tbh.
I wanna be able to crash my ship in to the ground without any auto pilot trying to correct course.
Oh. That too but.
doesn't sound like we'll be able to join the pirates
Be the pirate you want to see
so what do we think of starfield?
Oh loved the debris during fights
Looks neat
The way ships vented and parts fell off was great
my brain has just been acting like a smug anime character thinking about it
It does seem very similar to nms.
Your smug, but are you anime enough hrmmmm?
Bonus stats for bunnyhopping everywhere
Sweet
What the heck.
🥳
pushes glasses up with one finger You doubt my level of anime?
Triggered
Hahaha
People play games to escape reality though.
true.
Yeah but debt is always thete
Corps gota remind you of your insignificant nature and push you to make more to pay more
i'm listening to a somewhat positive article about starfield, i'm just wondering what will be worse the nms launch or starfield launch. i mean betesda is known for being big and buggy.
Gonna build me a JMC Starbug
I'm gunna build Crazy Frog.
and i still remember f76
I wouldnt take bets on that lol
Nms was soooooo buggy and Bethesda's is bugthesda
Hard to sau
I love ships have interiors
That was awesome to properly see
ship explosions need some work too, the pirate got blowed tf up but the ship model was undamaged
the way i see it, i have no man's sky, why play a similar game from a dev i don't trust.
Really? I saw whole parts fall off in one video section
dear gosh bethsda is STILL using the creation engine?
the first one looks ok, but the second one is completely intact as it spins towards you
pretty sure that dates back to daggerfall
Well 20 percent of it. Most of the engine is new
Asset managements mostly what's old
like i've been playing oblivion lately modded, do you know how many mods i need just to fix all the bugs and crashes in vanilla?
50?
Zero if you get the GOG version.
In 2020, in mid-production on Starfield, Todd Howard got asked about procedural generation in games like No Man's Sky by interviewer James Batchelor for an interview during the Develop:Brighton Conference.
His answer might shed some light on what to expect from Starfield's 1000 planets.
Full interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9GA8lsH...
I wont say how many I use in skyrim, its overv100
Hey @winter yew
12, one is literally just a custom autosaver because i still get a bunch of crashes.
i have like 90 something total mods though.
Hey @coarse swift

You mother fucker.
im guessing the 1000 planets are generated procedurally and then they go in and add cities and stuff by hand
Aye, any points of
I'm curious if we can swim lol
Or if they will just make water impassable
they will prob have swimming but how many planets do u think will have water thats safe to swim in
Land on a planet and suddenly you're playing Subnautica
how safe is it to swim in no man's sky?
90%
Almost completely
Ignore those glowy things sticking outta that one thing and you'll be fine
i guess that is my point. given how crazy uninhabitable many planets would be outside of a suit i don't think worrying about whether a ocean is safe to swim should be a concern.
In the starfield reveal, you can see todd's grinning expand everytime he talks
Its like hahaha i have finally done it
Especially after showing the ship customisation
😩

Jennifer Hudson achieved a rare feet last night (the news tells me), and my brain can't help but foot the entire bill to some sort of childish cast
For those curious, she is one of only a handful of people who are now "EGOT" (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony - Award winning)

Oh I like that one Nate
What an EGO Trip
We just need an 'R' award to make it craZy
Dragons Dogma is getting an anniversary stream in three days where they might reveal Dragons Dogma 2, Resident Evil Village is getting a third person mode and a DLC story where you play as Rose, it's getting a spin-off pvp game that lets you play as RE characters, and that Exoprimal game had gameplay shown
Capcom show just happened, lol
they might reveal Dragons Dogma 2 dont toy with my heart now
They announced a tenth anniversary stream for Dragons Dogma and people are HYPED
I'd be happy with an HD update
Oh man, imagine if it's a western rerelease of the mmo
Wasn't Dark Arisen basically the HD update, lol
have had this game downloaded for years now and still haven't played it 😄
the first one that is
you like D&D ?
Get the Shrek pawn. He's great
Lmfao did everyone get that mf
I have that dude favorited
never really dabbled in D&D so no i suppose as it's never really interested me
okay, fantasy, dark sousl shit like that ?
ye
cause Dogma gave me moments no DS ever did
especially the first time around when you have no clue e what the fuck your doing
i've heard it's excellent and i should definitely give it a go one day
currently playing a bit of Kenshi
so you try to play it as a soulslike
and yeah
its awesome
unless you play mage, thats uh
second playthrough srsly
there's this fight midway through the game
fkn 😘 👌
only other game I wish I could forget so i could experience all over again was Portal
Meanwhile I've finally gotten around to revengeance
another game i haven't touched yet is Portal 2 😄
Having way more fun this time, mainly due to a single pro tip
"Don't play it as a stealth game"
that's what i did in one of my Skyrim playthroughs. Went with a brutish orc build that never sneaks about. Was great
Stealth in Skyrim is like Speech in NV, haha
It's the most efficient, and boring, way to negate most of the game
Eeeee, please let it be real
Or was that FO3? I forget which one it was
I still hear "They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong" in my dreams
Both tbh
sneaking in Fallout was always boring
Skyrim ain't that bad. A little too easy though
especially when you shoot someone in the head and they carry on their day with said arrow sticking out their head 😄
"I must be hearing things!"
Places bucket on shopkeepers head - Ha Ha, now i can rob the entire place and they'll never even know
get real
I'm looking forward to Starfield, looks really promising
Cant wait to try out space buckets on shopkeepers
Edvard Grieg was as fat as a pieg. He wrote Peer Gynt, I sure wish he didn't

i wasn't that hyped. Now i am 😄
love how NMS was the first game people compared it to
Lol 🪣
Looking good partner 🤠
you too :>
Yeah, NMS is the poster child of procedural space games
No Man's Skyrim rolls of the tongue well too 😛
don't know why but i could never get into Red Dead
someone's a bit trigger happy
"so you're approaching me?"
"how else am I supposed to stomp the hell out of you?"
gigachad arthur
Saint Denis 🥰
I was super surprised by the buildable, modular, flyable ships in Starfield - I was expecting the ship only to function as player housing + cinematic loading screen between planets
Rahcel cuter name
So leaks, yeah, I keep seeing Starfield leaks on this dev forum I frequent, they can barely keep them stopped
Sheesh, someone is WAY to hyped
This is rd2 right?
Going to be a long wait for them then 😅
Yep
yep
Jinx
Really is beautiful
That mountain reminds me of one in NMS behind a city I had
Still makes me wonder how seemless planet to space flying is
I dont know if it will be
didn't look like it in the gameplay
I wouldnt be surprised if you warp to a planets nearbye space instance
and reinstance when on a planet
Easier memory wise
Wouldnt really impact gameplay much realistically
We just dont have a clue
HOWEVER< I can say the number of plants I saw in the leaks are astounding
At least 40 biomes
and wasn't expecting anywhere near 1000 planets
Crazy stuff
I wanna look, but I'm not gonna >.<
was thinking 3 maybe 4 systems with a handful of planets/moons each
Same, stay strong 🫂
I'm so excited to see more proc-gen space games
DOG
Great shots, Cat
Seconded, these are very lovely <3
Metal Gear Rising Revengence 2, LMAO

Enjoy this brand new gameplay trailer from Morbid Metal.
First debuted at the Future Games Show in June 2022.
Morbid Metal is an explosive rogue-lite where you play as not one, but four blade-wielding badasses. More amazingly, it's the work of just one developer. Morbid Metal is coming soon to PC.

I know it's a nms server but it'd be fun to have non nms related screenshot section where we can just blast a ton of pics out
Time for #other-game-screenshots 👀
yay
Normally its just discussion in here, so I never feel comfortable just tossing screenshots, occasionally I made people look at my Genshin Teapot tho
Red Dead is a beautiful game, so of course your screenshots are pretty
They are lovely 😊
Do ittt
I see a floaty
Make your dreams come true
crazy how good Red Dead looks even on a PS4
Big trees are pretty amazing
I'm trying to go toward it to see if I can actually get to the humongous tree
I'll more than likely die instead but we'll see
no u
It does seem to be getting closer though
An aspect of Starfield that excites me is the potential for modded planet generation, could see some very interesting results
Creation Kit go brrr
Rasamama ship mod needed
V
Yeah thats something I was thinking about
The potential for entire worlds redone or added
death star in starfield
Not to say planets wouldnt have limitations
That could take a decade hehe
would be a huge undertaking
The only mod that would matter (tho we might be able to build it ourselves, lol)
it would take years for a fleshed out star wars mod
also ships have different speeds and stats
I liked seeing ships can dock
Yeah!
You can couple them together and board
plus stations were pretty impressive
Even at its worst, Starfields just going to be fallout with space ships lol
Which is to say, heck yeah
I'm looking forward to this new era of Bethesda game
Also gosh its going to be nice to walk around our ships
I wanted that in Elite so long
Yeahh
i dont think u can walk it when flying right
I'm gonna fill my ship with space cheese
I want a biosphere
Yeah!! Space farmer
I saw from the leaks, some really nice science parts and science ship builds
Ooo
One was pretty long, spindly bugger, but decked with scanners and cargo
Either way, its going to be interesting to see how it all pans out
For sure
Aww so many cartographers in NMS I know are so excited for starfield
The personal rp is great
Wonder what the upper limit on ship size will be
Sigh, which just reminds me namings still broke in nms
Starfield vs The Outer Worlds 2 is gonna be interesting, lol
Tho I guess it's not really vs since they're owned by the same company 😆
The more space games the merrier I say, room for all
I imagine out of the 1000 worlds, only a handful will support complex life
Same
plenty of space for space games
Indeed
Lotta sci fi stuff dropping in the next 12 months, it's kinda wild
First thing i want to do is settle that desert world I saw. I want a base there so bad
I love deserts
also being able recruit a crew is pretty cool
Yeah , did you see that polar base?
I need all the sci fi, including space horror stuff like Callisto Protocol and Dead Space remake 😌
probably gotta assign them tasks depending on their abilities if stats like that are a thing
Wonder how the game will handle navigation/fast travel, 1000+ planets is a lot to keep track of
will do fine at 20fps
Its hard to say about mechanics
Yeah, just speculating because I'm excited lol
also, how big in terms of HDD space is it gonna be
was thinking more 80+
enable ray trace
I know the struggle, I was on dial-up and satellite until a few years ago lol
I dont think the engine supports rtx
oh jeez
Dial-up is just immersive astronaut connection tbh
