Was PvE so it had quite a lot of anti-griefing rules

Another rule was no picking up wild dinos and dropping them into other people’s bases

Admittedly I did break the rule in a harmless way by dropping at least 20 dodos into a base that had an open roof

The best way to gather metal is a dual combo using a Karkinos and an Anky

Anky gets a shit ton of metal

But even when it’s overencumbered the Karkinos can still pick it up and throw it

So it can hold the literal inventory max in one trip

There's a story spread out over the first four maps, at the end of the first one you find out ||you're in a simulation|| then the next two are you ||escaping it||. Then the last map is on ||post-apocalyptic Earth|| and something happens, idk cuz I haven't researched that far. Then there's four other non-story maps that I'm pretty sure are ||simulations||

All of that stuff is why there's dinos that existed irl but also stuff like wyverns, rock elementals, chimeras, and dragons

And yeah, you explore

Which will easily take you hundreds of hours, cuz the further you explore the more dangerous the maps get. So you gotta level yourself, learn new things to craft that'll keep you alive, and tame creatures to help you fight

Or you can ignore everything and treat the game like a zoo sim, lol

The maps themselves are dlc, but all the items and creatures and stuff are downloaded in the base game as you can transfer stuff between maps on server clusters

So you can theoretically get any creature from a dlc map without even owning the dlc themselves

Crop growth speed, wild dino health, tamed dino health, your XP gain rate, how fast you harvest materials and how many materials you get from harvesting, and how much damage you do to/take from dinos are just a smol amount of the settings you can adjust 😆

If you're on an i5, you should upgrade to the i5 11600k. For integrated graphics, it's incredible. I don't use integrated graphics for gaming but it is by far the best bang for your buck I've seen from intel in a loooooong time
