I'm not 100% behind the bandwagon bitching about ubi with regards to hitrecord. BGE2 doesn't exist yet. Joseph Gorden Levitt has already stated the conditions of the contract insofar as it applies to the game are not spec work. The people bitching about the collaboration are the same people that bitch about every collaboration. The argument is always the same, that it pits artists against artists and pays bottom dollar. Hitrecord collaborators were told already way ahead of any potential project contribution to not flesh out huge items in the hope of getting some preferred agreement and that every collaborator selected would be getting a split of the contract. The selected pieces are going to be curated by both Ubisoft and Hitrecord to avoid whales who overproduce to get a larger slice of the pie. It's a flat 50k being split.

I watched the new matrix movie, resurrections

I wish it were longer, that it explored more of the narrative it presented. If I'd never seen any of the previous movies, I would have understood nothing and the movie did not stand on its own merits. I don't think it was horrible, but the whole movie felt like filler. Hopefully it was created to bridge some new media, like a game or another movie series that doesn't include keanu

It isn't bad. It's still early access and you can feel it, but it's good for a couple days of dicking around before you run out of content

The game adds a clever sort of time gate. It's a terraforming gate where some tech won't unlock until the planet meets a specific condition.

I'm at nearly 20% into the Liquid water stage and there are both technological and physical (ice) barriers that block exploration and progress

It starts off feeling very open but advancement past a point feels very narrow

Just gives you an idea how they approached development, but again - Early Access.

I thought I was going to starve to death when I first started because I had no means of replenishing food.

Pro Tip: Scavenge ships as soon as possible. Not for food necessarily, but technology

The mod lets you just run through and the door will open close for you
