in the video game The Long Dark there is no fast travel, its a gruelling survival experience and if you have to go from one point to another which is far you have to walk all the way and you cant really sprint much if at all as that consumes a lot of energy and that's a precious resource

just walking for what feels like forever

still way more fun than artifact farming
