Game world is a step back from D1 but still so much to do. Settlements/Bases to slowly build up and unlock features. More tech to use than D1 that are nice to use, weapons feel nice to use.
Main quests are similar to D1 with the run through a contained map, pew pew the enemies, take out a boss and collect his loot.
