Playing red dead redemption 2 and just realized you can dismember people by blowing off body parts they curse just about constantly there is even a very unwilling "encounter" with a really nasty NPC... But try to name your horse dumbshit because it keeps running straight into trees... Nope can't have that... Can't even name your horse blade... (Was going to have one razor and one blade from that horrible movie hackers) lol... But nope blade is not ok in this game...

Yup has some pretty funny glitches too. And some pretty annoying shit... For instance. A certain gang that happened to be in saint Denis attacked me. when I shot back I got a wanted level complete with bounty when I killed them the bounty went way up of course I tried to surrender to the lawmen and even with my weapon selected as unarmed my revolver gets drawn which makes my bounty go up as well as made lawmen start shooting I was in an all out war with the lawmen.. had just maxed my honor had been a while since I manually saved the game so reverting back was no option... My honor went into the negatives from that one fight... not too happy about it.. so I activated cheats and went in a rampage through saint Denis lol.

i got over 70 good hours out of that game. Had a lot of fun. Didn’t do too much of the multiplayer stuff and dropped it once i finished the main story, dlc content and enough side quests

I've got over 900 hours in 76 and still clocking. There's a lot of new content, and we're getting a big update on 9/8. It's come a long way since launch, something we're pretty familiar with here! I'll say that yeah, the story is pretty anemic compared to prior Fallout titles, and the world can feel kind of sparse at times. Interior locations aren't as labyrinthine and varied as you'd see in FO4, but where the game really shines is the community. The community is very welcoming and people really make the game world more vibrant. Public events are a blast, and event weeks like the one we're just finishing up right now are super special and really make the game a great time in my opinion. Base building can be quite a bit of fun too, in spite of some pretty frustrating mechanics. One thing I can't stress enough, is that it is much better with friends. For me it's rewarding to just log in and see what's going on in the game world, it's one of the few games that I can happily AFK in, watching players pop by my base vendor and helping out low levels.

I enjoyed it a lot but found that the high of the game exhausts pretty quickly - played it for two or so weeks and haven't touched it since.

It's not a bad game, but boy is it a far cry from what was promised. I didn't encounter many bugs or glitches either, at least nothing game breaking.

They rebuilt parts of the engine. Asset streaming, memory management and AI. They can now start expanding features and fixing other issues.
If you're playing on PC, you most likely won't encounter many issues.

My thoughts are almost identical to Codevasco's, I enjoyed it massively but haven't been back to it for a little while.

You'll have a lot of fun doing missions and just generally fucking around in the open world but when you're tired of that you realise there isn't much else to the game.

Stories and characters are solid, really solid. It's just not enough for me.

This is coming from someone with no expectations by the way, I wasn't interested in the game conceptually and didn't get invested in the hype.

Bought the game for like 17 euros.

@full pivot I'm sure you don't care much, but Star citizens last major update, 3.14 added a new ship, new planet, new station, reworked ship combat, volumetric cloud tech, and some other bug fixes. The major update before that, 3.13, overhauled many of the games systems, reworked mining, added a few ground vehicles, updated the physics, and added ship to ship docking (I'm paraphrasing a lot as they are big updates)

Those both came out this year, the one before that in december added 3 ships and a handful of locations, weapons, more polish, and also i believe 3.12 was when the prison system was added.

SC has came a long way and the consistent content updates have made it a lot better. It's just buggy as hell

The idea behind Stanton is to have one of every planet type, now that Stanton is done, they move onto adding new systems

They showed off the next system not too long ago

Now that every planet archetype is finished, they can start work on the rest of the systems once most of the core systems are finished

Like hospitals and medical gameplay are coming next update from the looks of it

Star citizen is developing it's core before it extends into a bunch of different star systems

Star citizen is a truly unique game, the ability to walk around ships, interact with panels and doors, EVA around in space and board ships, drop tanks from massive drop ships, and attack a base full of pirates

It's intuitive and advanced

If anything, star citizen proves that the type of game it is, is possible

A weird persistent MMO world where you're actions have realistic consequences

Shoot up a station? Go to prison

Then you can coordinate an escape from prison

Or serve your time and start mining

The game itself is lacking directly compared to other space games like NMS. For example, one system in SC vs billions in NMS

But that's kinda unfair to compare, since star citizens planets are handcrafted and infinitely more detailed

Star citizen is a game that sunk all of its skill points into immersion, gameplay, and visuals, but missed the "polish and performance" skill tree

it’s no surprise it’s controversial, but most popular things are. Once the game releases, there will still be the people who disagree with it all, but ultimately that wouldn’t change the fact that it could become a solid game launch

I really do think whenever star citizen launches, it's gonna end up being pretty cool. It might take another 3 years but i already got my money's worth from star citizen so I'm happy with whatever comes next
