I kind of understand the logic behind a $500 alpha. It keeps a ton of folks out and allows a little more testing with folks that have a genuine interest.
The cynic in me can't see it being a good thing.

I hope it succeeds and streamers with gameplay prove it to be something great.

The rifle is stupid good, but probably outclassed by now

It's just a shame that the xenistar disc meta is dead

Each has a gimmick.
The blade can lay down a small aoe disc and convert to ips damage while it's out.
The rifle when activated puts targets on enemy heads, through walls, and has infinite punchthrough.
The pistol... Drops the current magazine as a sort of mine that just floats and spins around shooting off all its remaining bullets in random directions

yeah, once you've murdered your Lich/Sister, the mission ends. Can you use the nav terminal inside the railjack itself?

In fact, I tried the mission again to see if it will complete this time...
And it happened again! It would not transition to a mission complete, still saying Eliminate the Target

#

And I killed the Lich and everything

Still can’t use the Railjack navigation

But can use the the Abort Mission option of the menu, but it will count it as a fail

What they DONT tell you is that you basically have to wait a week to use Yareli. First you have to do the quest (Simple K-drive related stunts which can be knocked out in an hour) to unlock her blueprint and then build the Bash Lab in your clan, then research her parts, then build the parts, the build the warframe. So that’s fun.

since steam deck will be arch linux based... one thing some might not be aware of is the AUR. https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository. over 70k software packages: download the PKGBUILD file, run it through makepkg, install it - your package manager is now aware you've installed a new application. there's even AUR helpers that assist with automating the task of keeping all installed AUR packages up to date.

for archlinux and archlinux based distro users, AUR is often a life saver in so many ways.

and if steam deck is in fact a Linux desktop, based on arch linux, and lets us use it as a normal distro/OS, it's going to be very cool.

also, apparently one can upgrade the m2 ssd on steam deck, but the 512G model has some sort of extra protection for the display

256 and 512 have the M2 but there's a 64gb eMMC model that apparently has an M2 slot on the internals, just not in use.

I like to go in blind sometimes to see how well I can handle it. You have to get 100 kills in this one, sounds easy right? Well there's a 14 second timer that resets with each kill and the enemies scale up in level and armor and some of them are really bad about knockdown. I was thinking about cheesing the lack of ammo drops by summoning my Arch Gun at the end but got knocked down at a bad moment during reload and well, there went the timer 😦
