If you go to the fertilizer plant near that starting town, there's a metal hangar with tractors infront of it and two bears 69'ing inside, in the back behind a barrel.

They always spawn 69'ing

There are booby traps. Mostly noise, but a couple planks with nails

hanging bones, planks with nails

There is a locked door in there as well if you've never been there before. You get the key from a cultist and any time you return with the key on you, can skip going around robin hoods barn to get deeper

I have a route for iron deposits too, but I don't have pictures. Most of the deposits are around the load baring event

those plates are actually there for a reason - they provide support by distributing load throughout the rock, typically they're part of a deeper bolt that's driven / screwed (i don't know the exact details) and the plate's there for load distrib

...on reflection it makes sense that a death cult would camp out in a lead mine

I did the new tutorial as a refresher, then I got out of the tutorial and in a normal server and when I was looking around my ship to see all the new stuff some kid apparently talked shit (I have voice chat muted, so I'm just judging by the chat icon above his head) and hit me with his sword cuz I didn't respond. smh, i roped myself into making a new ship in Avorion strictly for exploration, and of course the way it works is that slapping a stupid ton of engines on and making them fairly large is the way to improve your ship speed, lmao

did that, warped around a bit, hit some empty sectors and the populated sectors are honestly just about as empty, just some stations to pick up missions to, presumably, make cash

That and asteroids to mine...For cash

But since I'm running creative that's all pretty 🤷

Yeah me and my friends played it to the end of the current chapter and set it aside because...well...we pretty much already have everything we care to.

Food production, water production, a stable ship, room to grow.

The shark doesn't even eat the ship when the outside of it is armored.

To be fair, none of Maynard's projects are really that similar. Tool, A Perfect Circle, Puscifer...They're all products of an entirely different process with different people, Maynard being the only common denominator - In his own words, he often writes to the musicians work he is given, which lends to him a lot of creative leverage exploring different styles.

The staying power of these bands is in his willingness to just let them be what they are and go with the flow.

The creative process he uses is so open ended that you'll see products come out that seem insanely topical...because by and large the lyrics for these pieces is the last thing made.

The lyrics being what Maynard chiefly does.

It's a shame Tapeworm never really worked out. A solid collaboration between Trent Reznor and Maynard would have been great.

Yeah but do you honestly think Trent can work with anyone? Look at the projects he has done. I get the distinct impression he has a vision for things, but is a control freak.

I don't believe there's anything inherently wrong with being a control freak. If one can live with it, more power to them, but it does not lend well to a group process.

So it comes at a cost ultimately.

Their collaborations on movie soundtracks have made me quite happy. Gone Girl is a great example. I loved the book. Loved the film... and the soundtrack was just amazing to me!

Based on Ross' resume, it looks like Ross as a programmer had a lot of capacity to make Reznor's ideas real, which I imagine once they had the same thought in mind made the whole process of producing an album more enjoyable, less stressful and generally better developed. I've worked with programmers before and they're not always an easy lot to work with - but when you find that one who shares your vision, you can bounce ideas back and forth...Crazy shit becomes possible.

Plus there's something validating for a programmer finding someone who shares their ideas but not the same skillset or creative direction. There's a symbiotic relationship between a programmer and the people they find like mindedness in.
