So with Dell G5 you get a proprietary PSU that can't be used in anything else, for a proprietary motherboard that can't be used on anything else in a system that's so hot it throttles the CPU due to thermals that are not helped by a plastic mesh in the front for intake which is blocked by most of the components. If one could be forgiven for shit design decisions, they also add the quality design of regularly promising dual channel ram, and only delivering single channel with a piss poor cooler and shoddy manufacturing ethics.

It's the same engine in the sense that unreal 3,4 and 5 are unreal. They iterate in the same way. The engine they use now is not the same engine as morrowind, or whatever. Unless of course new gen games will use the same engine as the original unreal tournament. Which they won't.
Sure the engine is buggy but saying its the same engine undermines a lot of the work the programmers are doing. And whether it's stable or not, reducing it down to saying its the same engine undermines people's entire livelihoods

The problems with the gamebryo/creation engine are well documented. They keep bolting on superficial graphical enhancements but the issue is the game engine was designed for single core CPU's back when some systems didn't even have a GPU.
It's perfectly fair to criticise the engine when the faults are 100% down to its heritage and core design.
And even more fair, when the bugs have been fixed over and over by the community
They could pick up the changes in the community fix pack just by probably, flinging the maintainers some merch
