i think where most open world games tend to suffer is the negative spaces they create between story points

maybe there are 5 main towns and some outposts in between and some caves but there is a lot of empty space in between that are usually just filled with "Idk maybe some bandits are on the road" or in some cases, just nothing at all

helps if it's nice to look at but that only takes it so far for me personally

The game hands you a pretty good set of melee weapons simply as part of the main quest line.
A lot of the power of a loadout comes from mods rather than specific gear, and the mods are mostly made to be incidental enemy drops as missions are done.

They tend to release new content in a very grindy state, and then ease it off as later content releases

A boss kill frame generally comes in 4 parts, and takes maybe 10 kills to get them all

Also there aren't any rng'd weapons, so that clears a lot of the usual looter grind

There's riven mods for the rng aspect, but those are endgame time sinks

Have to engage in player trading to get plat for slots, though

One thing that was too much for me in destiny was the rolls on weapons, people would live in the forges when that season released

There are also mods that come from unpopular content.
That sort of thing.

Yeah, DE seems to try pretty hard to keep the grind reasonable.

Not push too much microtransactions, etc

They've killed my favorite plat farms on their way to streamline things, but it benefits most people

i had a pretty bad ear infection a few years ago and it ruptured my ear drum, which is apparently pretty common, but it didn't heal well, so I do have issues sometimes

It's fascinating, honestly - everyone knows about colour blindness, all the different types of visual impairments

But research doesn't look at hearing in as much detail

Not likely. It's prob some crypto crook dumping their long con after an inflation due to semi conductor market exploits. I expect it to reinflate in a few weeks. The short term impact...Any scrub who was hoping to get in late with a $4000 computer they ripped a $600 GPU from or paid $2000 for is likely facing personal bankruptcy and will be all too willing to sell.

Taiwanese markets selling GPU at MSRP are helping international markets get around the issue in the short run, but a couple more hits like the last few days, could see a market shift away from investment in bitcoin if for no other reason than bankrupted noobs.

Result could free up the GPU pressure at least on the backend and flush the market with mining GPUs being sold below MSRP...Not sure they'll even sell unless the owners lie about what they were used for or they pack em in premium rigs and hope nobody asks.

Based on the inflated systems I see being sold in the grey market now, I'm guessing it's the latter.
