@cinder vessel it gets better later into the game (outriders) but it's way more fun with other people. Progression is done in an interesting way so you can choose between leveling up more quickly or getting better loot with a larger challenge
only thing killing it for me now is the lack of functional crossplay, tho a patch is supposed to fix that next week
the voice acting is also actually good and pretty emotional at times, tho the story is kinda generic so I don't actually care about it lol. Just noted that the performances were solid in most cases.

Oh regarding earlier mh discussion- IG's aerial attacks now do mounting damage towards the riding gauge and are FAR more effective than in world
MHW had you using a gem to make aerial even half viable for normal gameplay, while in Rise it does proper damage and can be used well
Anyway the reason Rise is straight-up better than World is the weapon designs
In that they're actual DESIGNS and not a piece of a monster tacked onto a standard weapon
