So I downloaded The Witness and Subnautica today since I learned they were made free for a limited time for the Play at Home thing by Sony, already gave The Witness a try and I will have to give Subnautica a try
And I may have also downloaded the free dynamic theme for the PS4 based around Subnautica, the Safe Shallows theme, and itโs just nice to see some of the fish swim by through the screen, even being in front of the icons some times
I saw three types of alien fish swim through the screen: one with a big olโ eyeball, one that had a blue and yellow color scheme and two eyes on each side, and one that had a purple and green color scheme
and in the background, I see a yellow fish of some kind.
Itโs just comforting seeing them swim by along side the music that is playing when the theme is active

yeah i got softlocked in a side quest once during the || delamain|| questline because at one point it's supposed to spawn a bunch of cars in a warehouse and they all spawned on top of each other and exploded, including the one I was supposed to get into to drive. it also happened to be the trigger for the warehouse doors opening so I wa sjust stuck
oh also when i reloaded the last auto save which was after a dialogue, the door that was supposed to open after that dialogue wasn't open and I couldn't trigger the dialogue anymore

We tried to get into astroneer but the exploration is idiotically simple and the game has artificial crafting gates by virtue of resource distribution which makes it incredibly irritating when you're exploring if you forget something...and get stranded on another planet

researching materials to unlock recipes feels way better than just knowing how to make something right away. having some recipes unlock as "ideas" is smart too, for basic stuff
takes a lot of guesswork out of progression, adds the excitement factor of "i wonder what cool stuff this bug piece unlocks" while you carry it to the little research terminal
