for example, you can get in precisely 4 punches before the elder stomps again

and he stomps about 4-5 times before resummoning the tentacles

How is that kind of fight entertaining?

once the tentacles disappear he will stomp one final time then he will resummon

also the tentacles appear on your location instead of his

over a duration of a few seconds

rapiers in loop hero are kinda big

They often come with vampirism, which is cool, until you realize vampirism seems to be operating in relation to your attack damage. Rapiers typically don't do the best damage, so you kinda shoot yourself in the foot if you use them as your only, or primary, source of vampirism.

What I still can't really figure out so far though is just how exactly defense is working. I can have high defense and yet enemies still do near max damage at times

well they brought it back to more how Wildlands was, so there's a more realistic mode that doesn't have levels for weapons and such. Also they've brought the AI teammates back as an option.

plus you can go to the extreme of turning all hud elements off and have to find the location based on clues

and god it's fuckin cool

basically it realistically generates the universe, and includes actual things found in space. it's pure exploration with not really any gameplay but the quality of the procedural generation and graphics is outstanding especially with just a single person behind it all

They're not actually modifying the game files, they're somehow tricking the games into running 60 FPS while thinking they're running 30

Man, I’ve been playing through the original Halo trilogy in the MCC, and while I knew about the events of Halo CE since I played it on PC, I never got spoiled on 2 or 3. I’m so glad for that now, so many moments in 2 that blew my expectations away

I can’t wait to start on 3, everyone’s been telling me that’s where things go crazy, and they’re being really tight lipped about what happens

I’m honestly thankful I never got spoiled and didn’t play them when I was younger, I wouldn’t have appreciated them nearly as much for how refined they still feel

A few people told me to start with Reach and the MCC even puts it at the top of the list for some reason, but I wanted to play them in release order, and I’ve even been playing them with their original visuals to try and get the full experience

Even for their time, Halo 1 and 2 looked phenomenal

I tried it for a couple levels, the cutscenes have this weird bug where since I’m using an ultrawide display, The actual video is both pillar AND letter boxed, resulting in it floating in the middle of my screen awkwardly
