I had a similar experience to this when I was little, there was a lice outbreak in my school in the 90s, and I ended up with a shaved head. Rapidly swapping between NMS and Valheim is weird, because they share a lot of DNA - exploration through beautiful procedurally generated terrain, some kind of survival element, base building, cooking, taming, etc etc - but they're so fundamentally different that forgetting which you're playing will break your flow and have you stumbling over your feet the whole time.

Reminds me a tad of The Sealed Ampoule tbh. In The Sealed Ampoule you're also rerunning the same ground, and returning to a home from where you can upgrade some stuff...In this case, the dungeon you're rerunning.
Where Loop Hero seems to regenerate the loop and its surroundings, requiring you to modify the loop each run, Sealed Ampoule regenerates the dungeon but saves your upgrades/modifications.

Honestly didn't care. I mean, I thought it was an interesting idea, but I wasn't committed to it. I thought the show was going to be used as a springboard to something bigger to re-vitalize the franchise.
I'm okay with it not being there. They just played it close to the chest and that added a sense of anticipation - but it gave Paul Bettany more money to live so I'm good with that.
There's still room to grow if they ever want to go that route. Operating in negative space created a lot of hype for the show.
