this is the basis for the story apparently, which makes me think it'll possibly be a reduced number, maybe with some "extinct" pokemon added as new ones or old forms of current ones

I think the "catch em all" is not meant to be taken so literal, more like just catch em all from the game

the uproar wasnt because of that but rather their reasoning behind it was bad

(the "we didnt have time to animate them all" excuse and then adding later as paid DLC)

1. Wizards already backtracked when a designer said the Universe Beyond stuff wouldn't be Modern legal, saying "we're not announcing anything at this time regarding format legality" but we already know they'll be legal in Legacy, Vintage, and Commander (the format we play on this server).

2. The 40K crossover is confirmed to be a set of Commander preconstructed decks, and I already hate the Secret Lair: Walking Dead cards with a raging passion. I don't see why crossover cards need to be functionally unique AND black border, because that already steps on the main lore universe for design space.

I was very disappointed in Rage 2, myself.

I don't know why I expected more. The studio that made Rage 2, made the Just Cause series and Mad Max....They do sandboxes. Not really good at story

Well, he keeps owning up. But keeps not delivering a solid game (as you and I have discussed in the past). I did research on his past working history. And he didn't have much expertise in game design when he was hired by Bungie. He used to be a journalist like a Paul Tassi, who'd write hyper critical reviews about Halo back in the day. His critiques were based on his experience playing video games like WoW I think...? Anyway, when Destiny has had the best releases, it's when someone else was directing the work (including Christopher Barrett* who's now been assigned to Bungie's new IP). But overall, Luke Smith has not necessarily been actively directing the game when it's come to the game's most successful DLC's with the exception of King's Fall iirc...? And that petition isn't new either. I just happened to learn of it today.
