@cinder vessel i tried rebots, i wouldn't say it's bad but it definitely needs a lot of QOL and more to do. Granted it was a demo but it boiled down to a lot of tedious clicking on specific parts of robots to move them to specific spots to very slowly gather small objects.

The only differences between the objects is they affect the environment differently when they're vaporised and they look a bit different, otherwise not much challenge aside from just like, waiting for the tiny robots to move

and it lacks a multi select option so when you have a group of little workers it's a pain in the ass to reassign them to another task cause you have to do it one by one

So I bought Valheim. It's in early access. The graphics are shit...but it feels ....fun. It's not so shit that it bothers you. It feels almost like a deliberate aesthetic.

So far, combat is pretty simple. You got block, melee, dodge...Basic minecraft skills.

I like the tutorial birds that pop up to explain everything your first go at it. I ESPECIALLY like the surprise death I experienced when I chopped down a tree and it hit me while falling.

We were developing it on the previous generation of Nvidia cards to what Iron Galaxy was using, so lots of VFX and other things were not being handled correctly.
RS is a console focused studio which was their argument after I brought it up. It caused an argument between myself and a friend of mine and we ended up giving support to it after it was argued that it ends up reflecting badly on the game as a whole.
Still turned out pretty shit but that's what happens when the PC port is outsourced and they have their own goals.
Not to mention WB is shit and it's no wonder AT&T want to sell off the games division.
I regret working for them for multiple reasons.

Sadly, that feeling you get from Div1 doesn't translate to Div2. Div 2 feels like an attempt to make the whole division gameplay mechanic a formulaic mess. The motivation is messy and the story is about as deeply rooted as a carrot.

I loved div1 for exploring the world. Running into baddies felt like a believable incident given the environment....Div2, baddies are scattered like construction cones with no function but to annoy you

I appear to have stopped as I was trying to teach/program a bot to cook, and the only thing keeping it from working was that it didn't have enough holding capacity to gather the ingredients for the dish

I'm...Not sure why I seem to have left it like that. Past me must have either been tired or thinking that it would create some logistics problem down the line...Which it might.

One of the problems that I do remember leaving for myself was bot recharge coverage. I still have some gaps in the areas where a recharge bot can lose charge and create a mini-blackout in the area it's supposed to cover.

Tried out Eco. Not my cup of pee. A convoluted mess of objectives. The tutorial alone plays like instructions for learning how to use excel functions.
