There are monitors you can buy which let you add crosshairs to your game regardless of it's UI as the crosshair is pasted over the display.

Aiming is effected by aaaaall of it. Is it raining? Weapon aiming never hits where you are pointed. Weapon fires more than one round at a time? No direct aim. It's dark? No direct shots. Target is far away, your direct shots lie to you and miss. It's cold, aim shit...you go through a pool of water...aim is impacted because it makes your gun dirty...You fired....gun aiming goes down because of gun dirty
It's a constant struggle against wear and tear.
There's a reticle thats almost useless half the time because shit just misses so much
