I just didn't have many opportunities to play them, and I didn't have a console when they were at their peak in popularity (My Ps3 blew up and we were poor). Anyways, I could have played it now, but I never got around to it. However I'm gonna play the shit out of these remasters.

it's been kind of hard to recommend picking up the trilogy in its current state since you have to install the texture mods, get all the dlc, go through the hassle of activating it, etc

I'm not sure if it's held up since it came out, since there was a lot of group work solving the game with ARG stuff, so it could possibly dead end without connecting.
